PSA: 2022-2023 Wild TV/Streaming Guide

The NHL and Wild broadcast situation for 2022/23 is largely the same as last year, with one notable change. Fans in-market will be able to subscribe to Bally Sports+, which allows you to watch all Wild games on BSN for $19.99/month, without needing to subscribe to a cable package. More details in the in-market section below. But to start, let’s review what channels the games will be on this year:

# What channel are the Wild on this year?

* **Bally Sports North will exclusively air 67 regular season games on BSN, BSN Extra and BS+. The remaining 15 games will be nationally televised, three of which also airing on BSN.**

* 11/11 @ Seattle
* 12/1 vs Edmonton

* 2/8 @ Dallas (also on BSN)

* 3/29 @ Colorado

# How can I watch get access to these channels?

The first step is to determine of you are in market. [Enter your zip code here to find out.](https://www.nhl.com/info/nhltv-blackout-detector)

#Wild broadcasts ARE blacked out in my area (“in-market”):

* Bally Sports North announced a standalone app, Bally Sports+, which will carry the 70 games on BSN this year.
* The subscription costs $19.99/month or $189.99/year and they are currently offering a 7-day free trial.
* As a bonus, this will also get you access to Timberwolves, Lynx & United games on BSN. Notably the app will not carry Twins games on BSN.
* You will also still need to figure out an alternative for the 12 games airing exclusively on national television.
* [Bally Sports+ FAQs](https://www.ballysports.com/plus/faqs)
* [Bally Sports+ signup link](https://www.ballysports.com/packages/)

* You could also go old-school and get a regular cable package which carries Bally Sports North and TNT/ESPN/ABC. Xfinity and DirecTV are options. Dish Network notably does not carry Bally.

* DirecTV Stream is the only streaming TV service which carries BSN (and it costs $89.99/month).

* For the five games on ESPN+/Hulu, you will need to subscribe to access these games. See out-of-market section for more details.

* Alternatively, you could get a VPN to appear as on out-of-market viewer, see out-of-market section for more details. A decent VPN can be had for a reasonable price (in the $5/month range). YMMV as people have reported mixed results with this method.

* As a last resort, you can always sail the high seas. Note that it is against Reddit’s content policy to post links to illegal streams, so please refrain from doing so in this subreddit.

#Wild broadcasts ARE NOT blacked out in my area (“out-of-market”):

* ESPN+ is carrying all of the games televised in-market by Bally, plus 5 games exclusively. Out-of-market, this is by far the best option to get a majority of Wild games this season at $9.99/month (or $99.99/year).

* Unfortunately there is no longer any free trial offer for ESPN+.
* There is also the “Disney Bundle” which includes ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+ for $13.99/mo.
* Another option is Hulu + Live TV for $69.99/mo, which includes ESPN+ and Disney+. This would also include the games televised by TNT.
* [Verizon customers with certain unlimited data plans the Disney Bundle for free.](https://www.verizon.com/support/disney-bundle-faqs/)

* Select games will be shown out-of-market on NHL Network and therefore be blacked out on ESPN+. You will need to have NHL Network to view these games. A set schedule of these games for the entire season is not available, however presumably [the schedule on this page](https://www.nhl.com/info/nhl-network-schedule) will be updated throughout the year.

# Please provide any other tips, tricks or suggestions in the comments below.

This will serve as the main guide to watching the Wild for this season, updates will be made to it as needed. There will be a link in the sidebar. Separate posts on the topic throughout the season will removed and be directed here. LGW!
