I want to preface this by saying I turned it off after the 3rd quarter ended so I can enjoy my vacation. I knew we would probably lose after traveling to the west coast during a short week, but I did NOT think it would be THIS bad. We had many injuries. Donovan Smith is pure garbage and cost us 2 TDs in 2 games (the Godwin game winner last week and the Evans 66 yard one). Evans now is at risk of losing the consecutive 1000 yard seasons since for some reaosn him and Brady are no longer connecting. Offensive play calling was worthless as usual (after being down 35-0, we had many 4-6 yard completions back to back). Our defense collapsed against the run (not new) and pass (to a ROOKIE). Brady as well, has played VERY bad. So many under throws on deep balls. Things seem to be unraveling on offense and it feels like the offense is quitting. The only positive honestly is seeing Thompkins actually be more effective than Daerdon (at least for now).
Bowles this week told us it is the NFL and teams don’t blow other teams out, so I’m not sure what he would call today (and never mind the SB and 5+ games we won by 14+ last season). Leftwich also told us that we may not believe it but the analytics show that scoring more points than the opponent wins games so I’m glad he was able to use those analytics to his advantage today. We are bad. The division may not be ours (Panthers are half a game behind us and we play the Bengals, Cardinals, Panthers, and Falcons to finish the season off). Not sure if I feel any positivity for the rest of the season. We suck!
