You losers wouldn’t even have needed to find a coach if you had just let me take over dad’s team. I was railing lines of blow off this hot Puerto Ricans ass up in Toronto with money Manziel and we came up with the idea of having him be the first QB/Coach! Fuckin Genius right, bet your lameass walmart owners wouldn’t have thought of that shit.
What I love about DeMeco is A: no draft picks to get him, and B: if he is a great coach we could have him a very very long time. That’s worth taking a chance.
Long personal rant below, feel free to skip.
I watched Elway win 2 SBs with my mom, but I was pretty young so at the time I didn’t understand how lucky we were to experience that. My grandfather was a plumber in Rapid City SD and watched the broncos since the days of the AFL, and he never saw them win a championship. I want long term success for this team. I want the broncos to be competitive every fucking year, not just for short stints. I want a coach for 20+ years that we can pair with a YOUNG QB THAT WE FUCKING DRAFTED. I don’t care how many tries it takes, how many shit tank seasons or 1 year head coaches. We will hit on the right people eventually if we keep trying. I’ve had enough of acquiring aging QBs. I love Russ and I think he’s a good human being who really cares and is just socially awkward, but what we gave up for him was monumentally idiotic. We were not a piece away from a SB. The 49ers are in the NFC championship with a 3rd string QB that is literally Mr irrelevant! That is a team that is 1 piece away from a SB. I say this because I think the eagles will beat them on Sunday.
It better be between Ryans and Payton. I keep hearing Shaw’s name and it’s making me cringe hard
I think Rayns coming here if we didn’t trade for Russ would have been perfect. My fear right now is that we’ll end up not being able to get the perfect offensive staff in a year due to a lot of competition, which will strand us somewhere around average with our draft pick (because I do believe Ryans is a good coach) while also leaving us wanting to move on from Russ (which we probably won’t be able to).
I just don’t know if our situation is setting him up for long term success but he’s probably one of only 2 rookie head coaches who I really think has a shot at being a good head coach.
I worry about emotional guys wearing thin on the team when things get rough. If Ryans is able to modulate that and be the right leader after a couple of bad games, he’s obviously got the Xs and Os and the respect of his colleagues, so… who does he hire for offensive coordinator and do we trust his executive skills?
A bunch of dudes endorse Eric Bieniemy too. Until I see him coach I am not convinced of anything
Ryans seems like a great guy and great coach but it would be an idiotic move and the single worst hiring this organization could make of the candidates interviewed. He’s not a fit for this job. This an organization in disarray that is crying out for an experienced hand, not a hotshot young buck who’s been a coach for 5 years. There’s serious questions about the staff that he’ll be able to build because he knows one organization. Then there’s the scheme problem. Ryans is a 4-3 coach and would almost definitely want to bring that with him. It’s not a trival matter to change schemes like that so now you’re messing with your biggest strength
Now THIS one, I believe, is the first intentional leak on the coaching search that we’ve seen from the broncos brass.
wat is fun? baby don’t hurt me..
Doesn’t it matter the most if Russ is going to cooperate?
