This tells me that he realized he wasn’t getting a HC job. Broncos are chasing after Demeco. Texans didn’t interview Quinn. Cardinals are doing god knows what (Payton?) but if they were interested, there would be rumors. Colts aren’t interested or else it would be like the Frank hire. Even if he had a good interview, Colts are still willing to wait for Morris to interview, and whoever else next week. Quinn realized his shot of getting a HC job were incredibly low so he bowed out before teams officially told him “no”.
Bizarre choice on his part if he had a chance of getting a head job, but good news for us.
