Everyone says the mavs need a bigger more talented defensive center, but I don’t think there’s a single center in the league that would put in the work and want to be here more that Dwight. You can see it every time he steps onto the court
Most fun player to watch. Not the most talented, but as a fan, you have to love Powell
Extend this man!!!
Still a beast. Was an absolute monster before his Achilles rupture. First man up the floor, fastest man off the ground. Still means a lot to the team
You hear that Ayton
Props to Powell for hitting his clutch free throws and securing the ball on the last play.
With that said, I’m not as reactionary as most and still want him gone and upgraded.
Bring the downvotes, DP fanclub.
This go hard
Let’s keep him, im fine with a javalee type contract
I know we always complain about Powell, he is also in Every man’s and their dog trade scenarios but I just heard good things about him from teammates and coaches.
Carlyle that was not too inclined to give praise to anyone gave praises to Powell.
actually some People argue he was too harsh on novices and new comers. I heard a radio program and he was giving Powell so much praise that I was surprised.
Other NBA players have also have commented about his work ethics, especially after his surgery, people like Durant have talked about him.
So I know sometimes is frustrating seeing him not to get any rebounds etc, he is also the ultimate cheerleader in this team.
Dwight Powell is our Kevon Looney. He is our Javale McGee. He is our Joakim Noah. He is our Joel Anthony. He is our Rudy Gobert. He is our Antonio Mcdyess. He is our Yan Mahimni. Except he is better looking
Hard work beats talent when hard work is 6’11” super athletic and experienced.
The quote for me was always
“Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard”
Did the quote change?
Powell got 22 points and 15 points in consecutive games. I’ll take that any day. As we know, he got the huge rebound from Bullock’s free throw miss and made two clutch free throws. He’s playing so well right now.
