If we don’t resign this man I might pick up drinking again

  1. Basically will depend on him. He has a spot, but if he wants a larger bag than we can comfortably offer… not much we can do. Man’s gotta eat!

  2. He is in the perfect situation he cannot be a #1 back due to injury history he needs to split roles and KC has used him perfectly. I don’t see him wanting to leave

  3. I hope he can stay. I don’t think he is an every week #1 RB but he is a great 1-2 punch back like the situation he is in now.

  4. He’s over 30, seems to like it here, and it’s a deep running back draft and free agent class coming. He will definitely be back. He might get a couple more million from us though

  5. He’s perfect in our system.

I can’t see anyone else backing up the truck for an over-30 back who fits a niche role.

I think we can bring him back.

  6. Over 30 and coveted by a perennial super bowl contender that doesn’t need him to be an every down back, either. If he doesn’t realize he’s in a good spot he’s crazy.

  7. Curious though, since he’s balled out here and stayed healthy, wouldn’t it be a nice statement about our training staff? Maybe not.

But if it is, he’d be better off staying even at a little less money. Although I imagine if we win a Super Bowl, we’re gonna lose a lot of players.

  8. He’s had a late career resurgence here in KC. I can only imagine that he would want to stay with this team

  9. He is the one free agent I’m confident is staying. KC is the ideal situation for him. No pressure to be the number one back but he can feast in a Offence share through the pass game

  10. Feels like he’s in that sweet spot of age/situation where we can have a “gentlemen’s agreement” with his contract. Both sides seem cool with each other, the FA market will be full of RB’s. Probably a cheap simple contract until he retires/gets too old. Nice situation to be in for KC.

  11. Keep him, draft another late round RB. I like him but the age and injury history are concerning. Just draft for insurance

  12. I wanted him re-signed after last season. He’s a great addition to the team and has a perfect role. Let Clyde walk.

  13. If we don’t re-sign him, I’ll continue to drink. If we do, I’ll also continue to drink.

  14. His pass blocking alone is worth a resign. Probably the best #2 back in the league
