  1. Last night was a team effort in the loss. Just all around bad baseball.

This game is purely on the offense. When your pitching staff only allows 2 runs, it’s fucking pathetic that all we could muster up was a solo shot in the 9th. And of course they went 0fer with RISP.

This team is fucking awful at home this year. Really don’t understand it.

  2. Stop playing Eddie. Stick Ozuna in left and Travis in DH.

That said the entire offense was utterly pathetic today. This Philly team has been mediocre the entire season and we let them dunk on us at home for two straight games. Division lead is fast slipping away.

  3. We are now 38-39 since 2018 against the Phillies doesn’t feel like it but apparently its true.
    Per Corey Seidman NBC

  4. Eddie is a bench bat that is getting the leash of an MVP. We need to just start rotating LF more often to see if someone else can get hot. Having him and Ozzie back to back against RHP is hurting the offense big time.

  5. I wouldn’t have minded if we’d lost 7-6 but watching that was just so boring.

  6. I live out of state and I’ve only been to 4 Braves games in my life…. I’ve never seen them win. I’m tired 😭. I’ll be there tomorrow.

  7. Marcell got dicked with that called strike but doesnt matter, offense looked like shit all game

.500 at home hope the team is completely aware of that

  8. I’d much rather lose a game like this (dominant pitching from the opponent) than the nonsense bullpen meltdowns we’ve had lately. Offender couldn’t get it going, no big deal. Charlie looked great. Get em tomorrow.

  9. At best Eddie needs to platoon. They’re nothing to write home about, but get Pillar and Hilliard in the lineup more. Rosario hasn’t shown anything to be guaranteed in the lineup every day

  10. Can’t keep hovering around 10 games over .500 gotta start breaking away soon. The Mets and Phillies are starting to get hot. Granted the Mets are playing a easy schedule.

  11. This team not hitting RHP is killing us. We need Joc or someone else. Along with a bullpen

  12. Sucks that we seem to get the best version of every pitcher that faces us. Just once it’d be nice for a team to have pitching struggles against us.

  13. Getting sonned by 2023 Craig Kimbrel two days in a row should be a fireable offense. I don’t know who exactly you’d fire but just pick someone. Gramps threw fastballs like 15 of 18 pitches. What the hell else are you looking for?

Shoutout to Murphy for being the only player in the lineup who actually felt like doing his job today.

  14. no one can take that 2021 NLCS from Eddie and you know it really meant something for him and his hometown. But the guy thinks he’s a superhero anytime his name is chanted and it almost always ends up an awful AB.

The Dodgers basically gave us a game the other night by walking him to get to Ozzie.

  15. That clubhouse seems to be still as dispassionate as it was when Joc arrived in July 2021.

  16. This is why dropping that game yesterday from BS shenanigans was so upsetting. Occasionally your just gonna get beat and not feel like you gave the game away. Strider isn’t an automatic W tomorrow either. So we have a very good shot of dropping the series to a poor performing Phillies team that is even worse on the road. We are struggling more than I thought coming into this series.

  17. This is our toughest month of games BY FAR, and we are just over .500 on the month. The fact we have been able to tread water through this stretch with Wright and Fried out is nothing to sneeze at. End the tough stretch on a high note tomorrow, and go take some anger out on Oakland, hopefully getting to watch rebuilt Soroka do his thing.

  18. Wooo, to ANY Philly fan who got nervous when Kimbrel gave up that run, how do you think we’ve felt? Are you used to a minor heart attack every few days yet when he comes in for the save?

  19. This is the red flag with the offense. Can’t do shit against decent pitching. They rely on homeruns too much. Need more people who can work counts and just put the ball in play.

  20. Charlie always ask more of himself but unless he can grab a bat and get some runs for himself then you can’t reasonably expect anything more than what we’re getting.

  21. Fans who think this is even a top 5 team in baseball currently are hilariously fucking deranged and delusional. This front office needs to start making calls and looking into trades for later in the season.

Arguably the 2nd or 3rd best roster in baseball and we’ve been a average as shit the last month with no real signs of life that anything will wake them up. Especially with this trashcan of a bullpen we trot out.

  22. I didn’t realize the Rays were still so bad in attendance – only 23K to see the Dodgers?

  23. How does Ozuna have a higher BA and SLG than Olson 💀

I knew he was having a great month but not this good lol

  24. We love getting the Phillies on track after they’ve been playing poorly. Did it last year by handing them inexplicable wins when they were a .500 team (the Castellanos overturned call and then that Stott 3 run HR). Gifted them one last night. If they turn it around again I blame that game.

  25. Braves Country, past 2 days are a wash. Let’s turn the page and Strider is up. Split this series, Soroka on Tuesday against the Athletics “Only one A up in here” show up and show out tomorrow! Atlanta F’n Braves 🪓on!

  26. Our big problem is obviously that we are too HR reliant. But, our plate approach is also generally too aggressive, especially at the bottom of the order. Like most of these guys don’t have high enough offensive ceilings to warrant consistent over-aggression.

We have guys like Eddie and Ozzie who already aren’t hitting RHP, but they also chase a ton and give themselves no chance to be productive. Arcia swings in a lot of counts where it would be nice to take a pitch. MHII is working on his plate approach, but he chases way too much.

It’s reason that we struggle against bums like Tijuan Walker. The guy has command issues and makes tons of mistakes, but we continually made quick outs on **his pitch** without even really giving him a chance to fuck up.

  27. These contracts we gave to everyone and their brother last year got me worried. Especially if we Max walks too.
