  1. We should have won this series, if not outright swept them, but at least we split.

Toughest part of our schedule is over. Hopefully we can start beating up on some shitty teams and start playing better/consistent baseball.

  2. ESPN: “it landed in a body of water we didn’t know existed in Atlanta”

    Been there since 2017, dipshits.

  3. Love Matt and Sean but man do I feel for the A’s and their fans, they deserve so much better.

  4. Braves already won in the first inning with the bats getting hot early. Strider strikes back. D-Rod with 2 scoreless innings. LolMets lost, what a night. But next game is very exciting, the comeback of the Maple Maddux!!!

  5. Blowout win tonight and THE Michael Soroka starts tomorrow, idk if I’ll be able to sleep tonight

  6. We showed off on a national broadcast, hallelujah!

Money Mike with an amazing play. ✔️
Ronald showing he’s the MVP front runner. ✔️
Matt showing his elite power. ✔️
Strider showing off his strength. ✔️

And most importantly, we seem to have a competent new bullpen addition!!! Yeah Rodriguez!

  7. #BRAVES WIN FILTHYS LOSE RONALD HITS OLSON DONGS STRIDER STRIDES ON THEM HO’S

  8. Good shit tonight. It was important to end the homestand on a high note before tomorrow’s game.

Remember to open up a bottle of the best stuff you have tomorrow night. It will be a tear jerker, I’ll be drunk and emotional on a Monday night.

And we’ll also get Bacon Tuesday if Jeff makes the trip to Oakland.

  9. What inning did Olson talk to the crew in? Missed the first few innings and want to rewatch.

    Pros

    – Strider was mostly excellent
    – Some affirmatively good defense played today – not just Harris, but also Olson and Arcia preventing the 7th inning from spiraling
    – Offense all around. I won’t name the whole lineup but 20 hits. Sick.

    Cons

    – Bad McHugh outing
    – I have and will continue to take my flak for this, but I think the Braves should be way more conservative with Strider’s innings. He’s the only real sure thing in the rotation right now, and he’s second in the NL in pitches per start. The Braves go to great lengths to keep Sean Murphy fresh, and do the same with the back of the bullpen. I don’t think sending Strider out with 95 pitches and a 8-run lead was a good use of his ammo. (And no, it doesn’t matter that he wanted to go back out there. Pitchers *always* want to go back out there. Managers have to keep them healthy for the stretch run.)

  10. The Phillies would have never shut up if they beat the Braves and Strider again lol

  11. Have the Braves considered hitting the ball 20 times EVERY game? Didn’t look that hard tbh

  12. Quick question – will the Braves fly out tonight or tomorrow to play the A’s? Seems like a quick turn around for a game across the country.

  13. I love how Strider’s “off nights” he still gets 8-9 K’s and dad dicks the opposing lineup

  14. These commentators messed up the names of our players so much it was embarrassing.

  15. Is it weird that running into the A’s while they’re in the midst of an 11 game losing streak and are setting all kinds of records for awfulness kinda has me nervous? Pls sweep

  16. That was a ton of fun being at this one! I like when it’s a relaxing game where we dominate right from the get-go! Spencer still had a great game, our bats absolutely destroyed their pitchers (Olson especially!), that’s how I like it! Twenty hits lol! What a great game! You’d like to win series and not just split, but given our injuries and our insane schedule, I will take this split. It was against a divisional foe, and they didn’t gain any ground on us. Fun night at the ballpark! Go Braves!

  17. You guys I think I figured out a way to help our bullpen. Score 10 or more runs every game! But seriously great win, going into the series I said I would take a split considering our pitching injuries. Obv would have loved more but I’ll take it. Coming soon is the night we’ve all been waiting for, Soroka returning. Even if it’s not a great outing I’m just so damn happy to see him back.

  18. Also, the radio crew just said we drew over 43K fans tonight! They said 7th largest crowd in the stadium’s history. 19th sellout of the season. We show out so well! I love this fan base!

  19. Man we’re spoiled with our broadcast team, the national ones suck so bad. Idk how many times I heard them butcher our boys names.

  20. #🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓

  21. I don’t think we’ve lost a series in the division and we’ve played everyone

  22. Official word from Snit is in. SOROKA IS FUCKING STARTING TOMORROW BOYS.

  23. Anyone know why Michael Soroka is no longer referred to as Mike…did he request that?

  24. Saw some dude here hoping we don’t DFA Rodríguez after a nice outing. Oddly, it’s hard to find info anywhere online on the Braves even claiming or bringing him up. But it looks like we claimed him when Wright got put on 60-day, optioned him down immediately, and called him up in the last day or two. How does the rules work when multiple teams have optioned a player in a single year?

  25. I also love how Phillies have continually posted videos of Hoskins homering off Strider in the playoffs, as if that meant anything then since the Phillies didn’t win the World Series, or as if it means anything now since Strider is healthy and striking hitters out at an insane rate. Tonight he wasn’t even totally on his game, and he still finished with 6 IP, 2 R, 9 K lol.
