Do the Nets have enough to acquire Damian Lillard?

I’d love to see it too.
I’m not super knowledgeable about contracts and stuff, do they have the space and the assets to get him without giving Mikal? Idk if they are win-now enough to want to give up all the picks just for dame (and can they trade those yet?). Would it be spencer, Johnson and Claxton and picks? Is that enough?
Dame is the anti-Kyrie. I’m just concerned with the haul it would take to get him
Ok but adding Dame doesn’t make a insane contender, so idk why he would want to join us really.
simmons, dfs, dinwiddie for salary. both first round picks this year, 2 more 2 more phoenix picks and philly’s pick in 2027. Thats 5 picks but we still get to keep phoenix latest two picks and dallas unprotected pick. I’d be down for that. portland can jumpstart the rebuild with scoot this year and a plethora of picks. They can also likely flip dinwiddie and dfs for more assets.
I would love to be proven wrong but I wouldn’t bet any amount of money on this happening
That’s not enough to justify giving up all our picks and a couple of players.
It makes literally zero sense to trade picks for dame. We should be in the business of selling and accumulating picks, hopefully hit on a draft pick the next few years then look for a superstar to trade for or sign.
What exactly are you trading? Conversation starts with bridges and a boatload of first round picks
This sub thinks Dame is a cheaper asset than Bridges to acquire
IMO, it all comes down to the cost. If they could keep Claxton, Bridges and Cam Johnson, you do it.
