  1. This won’t stop a few select posters from fantasizing about this constantly lol the messaging from both teams has been consistent: we’re bringing our dudes back.

And I’m glad we are. For all his faults with Dlo we got to the WCF with him and we’ve got a ton of room to grow.

  2. I have no opinion on if this team should trade for Irving so I have no bias in this.

    This report means nothing.

The Mavericks are not going to say “we don’t want to re-sign Irving.” They’re also not going to say “yea, we’re looking to sign-and-trade him.” And, they’re definitely not going to say “we’re sending him to the Lakers.”

Also, this has always come down to Irving. He’s the one that ultimately can greatly influence what the Mavs do. What the Mavs say is irrelevant if Irving tells them he’s leaving. At that point, the Mavs can either S&T him or lose him for nothing.

I suppose that if the Mavs let Kyrie just leave, renounce all their cap-holds, and dump their FRP in a trade, they can max out at ~$31m in cap-space. But, I don’t think they want to do that.

  3. no one has interest in dlo except us because of our cap space lol lets face the truth

  4. Good, y’all keep him.

He’s literally been a literal working ball on every single team he’s been on. Why would we ever self detonate?

  5. Good. we dont want him. we want a reliable center next to AD and our core to come back and build on what they did this year. thats it. Irving will ruin that. regardless of what ignorant Laker fans want Irving is not an option nor should it ever happen.

  6. I will sleep much better tonight now haha. I love watching him play, but on a different team.

  7. Except they cant resign him if he doesnt want to comeback. Hence this statement means zilch.

  8. It’s obvious the mavs don’t want DLO just based off his performance vs Denver lmao, hell even if it weren’t for that, they clearly j aren’t gonna let kyrie go like that lmao

  9. We have no need for Kyrie regardless with how good reaves already is evolving into

  10. I never want to see Kyrie in a Lakers uniform. Dude has done nothing but disappoint since leaving Cleveland

  11. Mavs signing him for the max for 5 years means they’ll be irrelevant for 5 years.

  12. Sign Rui and Reaves, look for center solution, evaluate cap situation and make a decision on DLo. In that order.
