[Eagles Nation] Nick Sirianni on camp standouts: “I have no problem singling one guy out who I think has been phenomenal.. Quez Watkins.. No one in this building said it, but I can sense it on him, like “Oh some people think I stink?,” that’s how he’s attacked every day, and every practice.”

  1. If quez had caught just 1-2 more of those deep balls last year people would probably have him as one of the most underrated, the SB drops were rough though.

  2. I’ve had a lot of blind faith with this team, and I still do.

This one tho, ima need to see it to believe it.

  3. He does stink they used pascal more than him in the playoffs. Classic Sirianni here

  4. I want quez to work out so badly. Incredible value for a 6th round pick if he can reach his true potential

  5. Honestly he’s just a victim of playing behind two pro bowl caliber receivers, he could start somewhere

  6. If they are wearing green, I support them and want them to excel. If someone wearing green gets a disproportionate amount of vitriol, I love when they make the haters look bad*.

    *Jalen Reagor and JJAW excluded.

  7. Sounds great, Nick. If he plays hard when he’s on the field, makes a few plays, and doesn’t have big drops/fumbles which hurt us, I’ll be very happy with him.

  8. Bro they said that last year and the year before… It just wont happen.

  9. To be fair Quez was easily the worst player on the field for us last year. Honorable mention to Josiah Scott.

Quez basically has one more chance to prove he belongs in the league. I think Scott will be cut from the 53.

  10. Low key I wish they had prioritized a WR-3/ WR-4 upgrade this offseason.

Quez Watkins and Olamide Zaccheaus is pretty brutal depth.

  11. Just Catch the fucking ball, how do you drop that pass???? You had one job in life and you fucked it up and now I can never forgive you

  12. He dropped that pass in The biggest game most of his team had ever played in. Yeah he has to stand TF out. What else is new?

  13. I feel like we heard this last year. And the year before that to an extent to.

I keep hearing that Quez is incredible in training camp and then the season starts. And we watch him either give up on his routes or just not be able to catch deep balls which is supposedly his specialty. We watch him drop shit left and right and we question why he’s out there taking up a roaster spot.

I don’t want to be mean but like I am not gonna let this get my hopes up about Quez again. I’ll believe he put on the work when I see him catch a 40 yard dime from hurts on the run instead of sprinting to get there and miss it because at some point he clearly slowed up on his route.

  14. Quez has to be able to make defenses respect him on deep passes. That’s his bread and butter. It would open up so much else for the other guys.

  15. Hey, good for him. Let’s see what comes of it since we apparently will. It just seems the last few summers this was an impressive guy (like many other ultimate busts before him).

Worth saying though, he’s 1-2 drops from having a really solid contribution last year for what he’s asked to do. It’s a really razor thin thing.

  16. I understand Siri trying to boost a bad players confidence. But I am not sure if the kid has a confidence issue or commitment issue. Only this season will answer that! Hope for the best but prepare to not throw to him as well!

  17. So either we’re about to have WR1A WR1B and WR1C, or Quez is gonna to get cut. No in between on this coachspeak.

  18. Quez had a solid half season of football last year. The second half was not good, but he deserves a shot. I don’t think he is in the category of some our past receiver let downs.

  19. I’m excited to see Quez excel this year. With our team leaders there’s no way he doesn’t at least improve

  20. Always love Camp Quez. Can’t wait for him to drop balls that matter in the playoffs

  21. I don’t care how hard he plays or how “hungry” he is, I have no trust in his ability to make a catch when it matters. That’s the issue. He gets open and he’s fast, but that means absolutely nothing if he can’t finish the catch.

  22. I remember him and Hightower being drafted together. Didn’t Hightower end up making most of the squads? What happened to him?

  23. Quez is plenty talented. His only problem is when he DOES make a mistake, it’s somehow always a back breaker

I got faith in him getting better with time

  24. This is classic good coaching shit. People have a couple of bad memories of Quez last year, maybe that’s weighing hard on him and he’s seeing the talk, so you chat the boy up a little bit. “He’s doing incredible, he’s working so hard.” Good coach.

  25. I believe quez will have a breakout year this season I been hearing nothing but great things since otas started

  26. quez is a very boom or bust player. His effort has never been in question tho. Someone like reagor got so much hate due to his lack of effort and him having no talent

  27. I’m high on Quez man. He stands up and takes accountability when he’s made mistakes and he shows the drive to want to improve.

He’s only 24, with the experience of last season and another off season with Hurts, AJ, Smitty & Sirianni. I have the faith he can take a big step forward and be the guy we all want him to be this season.

    Fly Quez Fly!!
