  1. Not implying Doan is tied to Matthews at all, but it’s interesting that Matthews specifically called Doan out as his favorite player, and a good person, and now he’s assistant GM. That’s definitely not going to hurt the negotiation.

  2. So we’re going to sign Kane to a cheap deal to play with Matthews, and with the Doan hire, he’ll sign for 12.7×8?
