[Jeff Kerr] The star of today’s practice was certainly Christian Elliss. First-team LB in 7-on-7’s. Picks off Jalen Hurts for a TD Strong day for No. 53.

  1. Curious to see if Ellis can play his way into the starting spot! I think it could provide some good balance with Dean already locked in at the other LB spot. Ellis is big (6’3” 235lbs), athletic, and obviously pretty strong in coverage (I know, small sample size). But very intrigued to see this competition with Morrow and others play out!

  2. He absolutely balled on ST when they called him up last year. I really like him and hope he at least lands himself a backup and/or permanent ST role on the 53.

  3. Feels like every beat writer has been raving about Ellis’s tape from last season and workouts this summer. Would be nice to develop him into a starter since LB is pretty damn barren.

  4. Been telling this to everyone who will listen. This kid is going to start.

  5. Well that’s 2/2 on media open OTAs. Don’t mean much aside from making him a guy to root for in camp. Maybe he’ll be our next tj Edward’s which would be huge for arguably our weakest position group.

  6. Hurts threw an INT in practice! Are we really sure he’s the guy going forward? Was his extension a huge mistake? /s

  7. Hurts INT? Maybe Russell Wilson will want to accept the trade offer this time?
