Ranking the 4 NFC East head coaches, agree?

I got Sirianni, Daboll, McCarthy, then Rivera. Who would you most and least want for your team?

  1. I’m not sure I wouldn’t switch 3 and 4. I mean, we’re nitpicking over the bottom of the barrel here, but Rivera stepped into an absolute shit show of a team being run by an owner who is being forced out, a dearth of talent to work with, a crumbling stadium, and depressed/apathetic fans. Him not doing much in that situation is understandable.

McCarthy is overseeing a pretty darn talented team with an owner who is willing to throw all kinds of money all over the place to fix problems, one of the largest fanbases in the league, and….has still been a pretty big failure. In fact, his only big success in his head coaching career has been riding the coattails of one of the best QBs of all time.

I think I give the guy who has far less to work with a bit more credit than that.

  2. I mean, we had 2coordinators get head coaching jobs, honestly the best football coach in the world in Stoutland, and the most talented roster in the league (by a pretty wide margin).

McCarthy has won a Super Bowl with a lot less and Rivera was the NFL coach of the year twice. He just hasn’t had the talent or organization he can win with recently.

I don’t know what the order should be but this is crazy recency bias. I wouldn’t trade NS at this point for either of them but if I had Brian Daboll, I definitely would.

  3. Daboll is the most overrated coach I have ever seen. What’s the narrative around him gonna be when the giants are mediocre or terrible again?

  4. Yall ranking McCarthy “I dont need to be at practice” over riverboat? Aint no way, he a bum, essentially the Doc Rivers of the NFL.
