  1. Despite being statistically one of the worst defensive SS in the league and being close to a sub 70 wRC+ making him worse than 2022 IKF on both sides of the field, Volpe almost hit a home run so thus deserves the starting SS role for the remainder of the season.

  2. This is the team Cashman built around one player. He deserves this. This team is unwatchable without Judge.

  3. pitch clock is really working when we have a sub 3hr sox yankees game

  4. I haven’t checked the Red Sox sub all season, but it’s stunning how few fans post there.

Have they already moved on to the Patriots?

  5. I’m probably giving volpe until after the Fenway series

Between the Sox and Mets there is a lot of bad pitching for him to get going

  6. If judge winds up being out a month I literally don’t want to imagine how much of a battle it’s going to be to crawl back into a wild card spot.

This was a cole start against a lifeless Boston team at home. It’s not getting easier.

  7. Ppl talking about volpe & Abreu. A 22 year old prospect and an average at best reliever not the reason we lost

Rizzo & Stanton not doing shit in Judge’s absence when they are supposed to be 2 of our best bats is the real loss

  8. Remember when Hal said “we’re not finished yet” after signing Rodon?? Wtf happened?? This team signed Judge and ran back the same fucking team. Only this one is worse.

  9. This team has to be able to beat the fucking Sox with Cole on the bump. What the fuck are they doing out there?

  10. Kinda crazy how Cashman has failed to build a team around a perennial CY Young contender and Aaron judge

  11. He’s generally been a good Yankee but the point remains:

    Anthony Rizzo: $20M per year

    Freddie Freeman: $27M per year

One’s an MVP / game changer and one’s simply an above average player.

I’d like to remind everyone that with our payroll we should have more than two superstars on this roster.

  12. Rizzo is 1 for his last 23. Stop using the injury excuse, he is playing so its not an excuse. His ABs have been absolute garbage. I’m also sick of Stantons terrible play as a DH only player and people excusing it as he’s rusty. Fucking stupid when he gets hurt half the year. He is just another terrible contract at this point

  13. Cashman is the most overrated GM in any sport. All the accolades that are thrown at him and he’s shit.

  14. Remember when cashman said “wait until this team is healthy” bro you constructed the most injury prone roster of all time that’s never happening

  15. When Judge isn’t in the lineup, it exposes Boone for the clownshow manager he is

  16. I don’t think anyone who has watched baseball for more than a few years would seriously say the division race is over at this point. Maybe as a frustration comment – but a lot is going to happen between now & October.

Rays look great and may still win it, but it’s mid-June. We could cut the lead in half by the AS break.

  17. I’m glad I haven’t really watched Yankees baseball this past week and a half. This team is so streaky and rotates injuries like they tag each other in. It’s all inconsistency. We had it good with Bader and Judge and we went from 10GB down to 5GB and now we’re almost 10GB again.

  18. Not having Judge in the lineup everyday and your stars being unable to produce (Rizzo, Stanton, DJLM) will not win you a lot of games. That’s the brass tax of it. Cole looked solid on the whole, if we want to take any positives from today.

  19. If that ball had gone out it would have been an amazing beginning to the many times Volpe will play against the Red Sox as a Yankee, I also think he needed that to boost his confidence a little bit.

  20. Can the Yankees please stop being mediocre?! Fuuuuuucccckkkk!!!!!

This team hasn’t been elite since Obama was president.

  21. Aaron Judge 2023 WAR: 2.8

2023 Yankees next FIVE highest paid position players combined WAR: 2.7 (Rizzo, Stanton, Donaldson, DJ, Gleyber) who cost a combined $95M per year

This team could’ve been better put together by a kindergartener.

  22. Stanton is already a pretty mediocre hitter that cannot play the field and he is only going to get worse from here. On the books for 4 more years after this, total disaster. I cannot tell you how much I was down voted for saying Cashman was stupid to not wait 1 year to get Harper instead of Stanton.

  23. Kind of glad I’m going away for the weekend and won’t be able to watch tomorrow cuz this team is pissing me off.

  24. This team is just flat. I have no excitement when watching them. They’re just, blah.

I find myself being disinterested in them. Never thought I’d say that

  25. Jose Trevino hasn’t even been hitting to the level of an average catcher yikes

  26. I told everyone, “you better win early with Stanton because the back end of the contract will be ugly”

Welcome to the back end of Stanton’s ugly contract

  27. It sucks that Hal does not have the same fire as his father. Hal sees this team as a family obligation rather than a passion. Let’s hope his kids are more like grandpa.

  28. I don’t want to hear about the Ray’s and Oriole’s records being inflated because they beat up on all the “soft” teams early in the schedule.

  29. We need to start winning because we’re falling behind for the division race

  30. Aaron Judge is to the Yankees what Joel Embiid is to the Sixers. Once he goes down they suck

  31. “Just wait until this team is healthy”- Brian Cashman

My brother in Christ, you constructed the most injury prone roster of all time.

  32. It’s really not looking good for Volpe. The numbers are bad on both sides of the ball. Yankee aren’t doing him any favors rn

  33. I can just see it four years from now. A-Rod possibly gets his number retired or at least a plaque in monument park. No rings. Loud booing for both Hal and Cashman yet again. Kay scolds the fans for booing poor Hal. Four more years for Cashman as a fuck you to the fans.

    Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

  34. I wish the Yankees traded for Luis Arráez, guy is just an absolute hit machine and walks more than he strikes out, absolute stud of a player.

  35. Now that we cut hicks I just can’t believe we’re relying on these AAAA type guys to carry for us. Like why did cashman think any of that was acceptable. You’re supposed to look at your depth in the off season and plan for this. We haven’t had a competent consistent left fielder all year. Dude doesn’t know how to do shit.
