  2. Nice we really see the drop in production when Caufield leaves. Surprised there isn’t that much garbage goal

  3. What I find encouraging is how few “lucky” goals we scored last year. I counted less than 20 goals that probably “shouldn’t” have gone in. Where they went “through” the goalie and trickled in. Where someone sniped a shot from outside the high danger area against a goalie who was set and unscreened. An unpredictable bounce off a defender. A “seeing eye” point shot that went through a bunch of bodies without hitting anyone. Obviously every team is going to score some of these every year, but the Habs really didn’t get much help from the hockey gods. Almost every goal was the result of smooth passing and players being open in high danger areas. That’s something we know is repeatable.

  4. Really bittersweet moment seeing Caufield’s 26th.

    I’m really excited to see Kirby Dach next season. He got better and better as the season went on.
