  1. Eh, this is why I wish you could review by time period. His percentiles are heavily weighed down by the start of the season where he was pitching with a literal bone spur in his elbow. He still has the bone spur, but has had less pain since the cortisone shot.

    He’s been pretty much exactly league average since he came back from that shot, and 5 of his last 7 starts he gave up 2 or less runs. 4 of them he went 5+ IP, though it should be mentioned that one of those 7 he was on a pitch limit and one of those he had only thrown 80 pitches, but Buck wanted to put in a reliever.

    What we should do once Quintana comes back is get the bone spur surgery. This way he would be back in September and in theory should be back to normal. At the very worst, Cohen sends a good message to free agents that the Mets take care of their own.

  2. If anybody wants him at the deadline, trade him for literally anything.
