The #Colts made ‘wild requests’ during Jonathan Taylor trade discussions, even asking the #Dolphins for WR Jaylen Waddle at one point, according to @flasportsbuzz . A trade never seemed to get close.

  1. Oh no we aimed high in trade negotiations with our best player who we don’t really want to trade meanwhile other teams offered us a bag of chips.

  2. I would argue trying to trade for JT without offering even a 2nd is equally “wild” tbf

  3. Well JT if you are soooo valuable then why can’t you bring in a player that will get paid similar money /s media is going to colts were being outlandish but they are trying to get what value JT considers himself to be in return lol

  4. Trying to negotiate a fair value return is apparently considered “Wild requests”?

  5. Seems fair. Asking a team for their WR2 in exchange for an RB they think is worth $15 mil a year doesn’t seem unreasonable. Just turns out they didn’t value him as much as JTs agent wanted them to.

  6. Basically just confirms the Colts never actually wanted to trade JT. They were daring teams to overpay, and if nobody wanted to do that then JT stays a Colt.

  7. Funny how Dolphins didn’t offer more than a 3rd and it is set up this way. Almost like this is coming from someone wanting the Colts to look bad.

  8. Lmao because they were never going to trade him lol this was all a waste of time

  9. A wild request is expecting to get a top 10 (top 5 when healthy) RB for scraps, regardless of injury concerns. Cry more, anonymous Dolphins bozo

  10. It’s a strange time to be a Colts and Trail Blazers fan. This reminds me of the Blazers asking for Bam Adebayo in exchange for Dame lol

  11. There are so many brain dead takes flying around on r/nfl it’s insane. JT has done absolutely nothing wrong to all those people

  12. Colts have all the power, they can do whatever they want. JT played this like a fool and now he needs to be accountable.

  13. Why is that “wild”? The national media keeps making the colts look like they’re being ridiculous when they’re operating like team should in this situation.

It’s like they can’t make up their minds if JT is valuable or not

  14. I’m getting word from one of my sources that the Colts also made the outrageous claim that they invented the question mark.

  15. Hey mods can you start punting these fucks from other teams. Getting a little old today. We already gotta deal with beginning you, ryta and mcmaples.

  16. These aren’t wild demands. We value JT. Highly. Ballard has never wavered from that. We just aren’t in a position to extend him right now. This was never a fire sale. That will be later when he enters FA

  17. All of these “sources” coming claiming all these different things is just dumb. Salad Fingers, Big Boy of Scoops or whatever and now this one that I’ve never heard of. I don’t believe it

  18. Anyone want to bet that this rumor is straight out of JT’s senile agent? While we do value JT, no way we tried to get Waddle, unless we were bundling JT with something else at the same time.

  19. There’s like a cognitive dissonance with everybody between *team value* and *monetary value* like they’re the same thing. Part of what makes JT valuable, as someone who’s hurt, is that he’s still on his rookie contract, making him pretty low risk, with a through the ceiling reward… in a year he should have incentive to play well. He’s an absolute bargain, as it is.

Instead this guy acts like he should be able to find cheap insurance after he **just** wrecked. Anyone with a brain should be wary of someone who’s looking for money fresh off an injury. That is extremely suspicious. Nobody is gonna pre-order the next 8 years worth of JTs when last year’s model had a defect. I’m running out of allegories, but the fact anyone besides JT is upset about this scam is a head scratcher

  20. Colts ask for too much return on a player they don’t want to trade – more at 11.

  21. Dolphins fans have resorted to calling the colts a joke.

HAVE THEY SEEN THEIR OWN FRANCHISE?

  22. But I thought RB are devalued? Ah okay it’s only when it comes to getting a new contracts, franchise tags and asking for nonsense during a trade is fine tho.

  23. Somehow I feel like we won this round but for some reason everyone’s making our dumpster fire look more flamey.

  24. Media: Just pay him 16mil a year, he’s worth it!

Also media: Just trade him for a bag of chips!
