Interesting story that pretty much confirms speculation about why TJD fell so far. Considering the payroll / tax situation, this seems like a good deal to me. It’s a risk, of course, but a total commitment of <$8 million over 4 years, only 2 of which are guaranteed, seems like a good gamble on a guy who could become a solid rotational contributor, possibly much more.

I mean we barely play our lottery picks. I doubt this guy will get much playing time either.
