Did anyone attend the game where Charlie Hough almost no hit them, but the Angels ended up winning the game in the end?

I was not born yet 🙂
There are lots of older Angels fans here though so I’m sure the answer to your question is yes.
I went to home games in ’86. I don’t have any memories of specific games in the stands though. I do remember crying (and cheering and crying) during the Red Sox Donnie Moore game (watched on TV).
Yes.
Why?
Nope, road games in Baltimore.
My first game was in 86, Wallyworld baby
Yes
Started in 82. Reggie vision.
That was until he tried to kill the queen
Been going to games since 80 or 81… I don’t remember anything specific.
I knew the guy who wrote that story. Really nice guy who came to a tragic end. Once ran into Charlie Hough in the locker room in San Diego at the end of his career (Marlins) and mistook him for a clubhouse attendant, because he was so much older than his teammates, wearing a Members Only jacket and smoking a cigarette.
My first home game was in ’87, ironically against the Rangers. Angels lost of course, but Wally hit two bombs that day, so it was still a good time.
Yes, but I will not rehash the only game from ’86 I remember, as I’ve spent decades trying to forget it.
Holy cow! I was at that game. One of the first Angels games I ever attended. I moved here from Ohio in ‘85 and wasn’t accustomed to American League ball. Only saw it in the postseason on television (or all star game). But I distinctly remember the almost no-hitter, because I was kinda hoping to see it happen in person. Became a die hard Angels fan soon after. Thanks for sharing.
