Every time I watched The Hockey Guy do a recap of our games one of the stats reported was hits. He developed a tagline last year “the Buffalo Sabres don’t hit.” We indeed always had very low numbers relative to our opponents as well as what all the other teams are doing when it came to hits. This seems like a pretty good signing to help get those numbers up a bit. Clifton doesn’t need to go around looking to put people through the glass whenever possible but he seems like he really knows how to pick his spots which is great.
