Filip Hronek’s physical transformation during this off-season

His legs do look a bit bigger but man it does look like he skipped some leg days in the first picture.
Easy McGregor
Wow that’s great
At least three of our players have gotten themselves in fantastic shape (although we have no idea how their cardio is but I’d assume they worked hard on that as well):
Hronek
EP
Kuzmenko
Looks like the boys took Coach Tocchet’s message seriously…
Great to see!
Good for Filip. But many guys lose a ton of weight at the end of the season and usually come in ripped for training camp
Just have chime in and say lighting is always the key to these photos.
Regardless LFGGGG
Keep in mind, in the before photo it’s probably after injuring his shoulder plus 64 NHL games.
His shoulders/delts are the biggest change, and regaining shoulder strength/mobility would have been a big offseason priority.
Fixing your shoulder helps.
Already fit guy got a little more fit!
For what it’s worth, by the end of the season a lot of the guys look like they do on the left. It’s really hard to keep bulk on over a season regardless of how much you take in calories and work out because you’re doing so much cardio in game and practice that it just eats away at you.
It’s one of the reasons guys will talk about bulking up so much. They’re going to lose 5% at least of their body weight by the time April rolls around.
Danny Briere used to switch stick flexes over the season a lot because of how much muscle he would shed and not be able to gain back until the summer.
If you guys need me I’ll be in the weight room…
Contract year. Putting in the work. Hope we have the cap to pay him next summer.
Damn he got some muscle added and a much better beard.
Million dollar idea; photoshop a terrible body onto you and label it “last season”
Then be looking killer and label “upcoming season”.
Let opponents see, them and the mental conclusions they’ll have would be fear. Pure unadulterated, fear.
Shouldn’t get injured as much now if he keeps it up
I know he had shoulder injuries but damn talk about asymmetrical. looks bizarre
Is it just me or could a lot of nhl players be in much better shape?
