[Stapleton] Here’s what I’ve heard on Waller: sense I get is that it’s not considered a serious injury, but comes with caution because hamstrings are what they are and it’s something that has slowed Waller in the past.

  1. Wonder if he rests Sunday as a precaution then. Last thing we need is to rush him and have this be another full season of him fighting hamstring.

  2. They babied it all off-season and then the guy got injured the first week of real practice. Sitting him out another week isn’t making any long-term difference. His hammy are shot. He’s the wrong side of 30. Just give it a go on Sunday and hope for the best. If he pulls and is out for 10 weeks, it was going to happen anyway.
I’d rather 2 good plays against Dallas than 2 good ones against AZ.

  3. Honestly this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. There is a reason the Raiders traded him after all. It’s just a risk/return scenario. We got a great player but he is injury prone.

If anyone was expecting Waller to play anything more than 8 games for us this season, then I have a bridge to sell you.

  4. 11/10 times you rest him Sunday. I know there’s excitement but the receivers are fine and Bellinger is next man up

  5. Who didn’t see this coming after the Kenny Golladay signing? I was always cautious of signing Waller and held my excitement at bay. He’s a top 5 tight end for the 2 games he plays in the season. The Giants knew he was injury prone.

  6. Everyone is blowing this out of proportion. The dude is fine lol he definitely plays on Sunday

  7. Whether it’s a mild hamstring or not, it’s not a good sign he’s already hurt from a couple of quarters of play and some practices. He’s not going to last the season. I’m sure Dabs and Kafka are planning to be without him. Jones better start finding an alternative WR1 to throw to.
