Positives from today’s Cleveland/minor league baseball:
8/9 starters get hits to support Logan Allen and the bullpen, as the offense gets 6 runs on 13 hits, 6 walks and a 🐐 stolen base. Kwan and Arias both get doubles. Allen goes 5IP, 3H, 1R, 2BB and 6K on 90 pitches. López, Stephan, and Clase all have good nights out of the pen with a clean inning each.
Tonight was the night Columbus discovered the power of the fabled “home run” as their offense lights up Scranton with 10 runs off of 14 hits and 6 walks. Valera, Jhonk, Rocchio, and Manzardo all went deep and combined went 8/15 with 7 RBI and 4 walks. SpongeBob also has a 3/5 night, and Haase 2/3. Karinchak their 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, and 1K.
Akron keeps playing the small ball, as they get 7 runs on 8 hits as 6 walks. The only XBHs were via Connor Kokx and Aaron Bracho doubles. Tanner Burns has a decent day out of the pen, going 2.1IP, 1H, 1R(0ER), 3BB and 3K. A couple unearned scored today as Akron has 4 errors… what’re we doin boys???
Lake County and Lynchburg both lose pitching duels, as LC only puts up one run and Lynch can’t get any. 7/9 LC batters at least get hits, while only two Lynchburg guys got singles. Alonzo Richardson started for Lynchburg, going 7IP, 5H, 0R, 1BB, and 1K on 83 pitches. LC is one game away from being eliminated from playoff contention.
Yknow, even after all the ups/downs and disappointments of the season, that feeling of getting to watch my favorite team win a game will always make it all worth it.

Offense was getting hits and sac flys ran rampant. Ramon got unlucky again with 384 ft sac fly. Clase and Stephan kept the haters quiet. Good win
For my notes: I’m ok with flipping Sandlin and Karinchak. They both are chaotic when they’re off but I can maybe trust Karinchak more. Valera and Manzardo went yard today and further confirming that it’s time. Rocchio also had a great game and continues to make the SS situation difficult to solve
