[Dunleavy] Darren Waller has a history of hamstring injuries and it flared up between #Giants Wednesday and Friday practices. Whats it mean for Sunday? Theres still a chance he plays, but probably not his full workload

  1. Everyone says he looked good out there Friday so if it flared Wednesday or Thursday then I imagine this is just being overly cautious.

  2. This is why I still reserved some expectations when we traded for him. Dude missed like 16 games in the last 2 seasons because of hamstring issues. 2 Raiders fans in one of my fantasy leagues said good luck keeping him on the field

  3. Good thing we have someone like Bellinger that can pick things up. Not the same threat but a reliable TE.

  4. That tweet is completely speculative. I read the entire article, there is no insight into severity, no quotes from anyone discussing workload, nothing about this injury at all. Another Dunleavy throwaway opinion piece.

  5. Not for nothing, but a bit of good news from the injury report was that Cager was taken off of it for the first time since that last preseason game, so that comes at a good time for TE depth chart at least.

  6. Kind of weird that this hamstring injury came up right before the first game and not anytime during the pre-season. Like WTH.

  7. Very confused how we have one backup tackle and only 3TE’s on the roster. I really don’t like how we managed our depth. Even WR at 6 with Wandale hurt/coming back, Shep, etc… seems extremely thing and dangerous. I know Beasley might be an option but can’t bank on that.

  8. This is negative and I chose to believe it’s rampant speculation and untrue. I prefer to believe the rampant speculation that suggests he’s fine and it’s simply precautionary.

  9. Always and still have a bad feeling I’m going to end up really getting annoyed with Waller

  10. I’m going to let my blind optimism take over and say this is a bit of gamesmanship by the Giants as Waller was clearly DJ’s primary weapon and go-to target in practice and preseason. Lull them boys into a greater sense of security until Sunday….yeah, that’s what I’ll go with to keep me sane until Sunday night.
