[Pelissero] The #Patriots are signing QB Bailey Zappe to the 53-man roster, per source. So after two weeks of drama, it appears New England is back to the original depth chart and Zappe will back up Mac Jones on Sunday vs. the #Eagles.

  12. Not dysfunctional. You’ve all already forgotten that the whole point of this saga was to take advantage of a loophole in the emergency QB rule. Bill was gaming the system and the league immediately amended the rule which changed things. Zappe was gonna be the true backup all along

  24. This whole thing is ultimately pretty ridiculous. If Zappe’s the backup QB, just make him the backup QB, don’t cut him, bring in other guys just to cut them too, etc.

  30. pretty sad that our #2 QB was evaluated by the entire league and 31 teams decided he was worse than their #2 QB. We should not be happy with this.
