David Wells, who put tape over the Nike logo, says Cashman and Boone aren’t to blame for the Yankees struggles He says struggling players should be sent to the minors no matter how much they’re paid Wells says players are coddled and babied too much now

  1. Too much coddling. No accountability. Too many players content with underperformance.

Does Wells realize everything he listed can be traced directly back to Boone and Cashman??? This is literally the environment they both created.

If he wants our players to have more fire, grit, and accountability then maybe we need leadership that doesn’t enable and allow for this behavior and mentality.

But what do I know? I’m just a dumb and irrational Yankee fan on social media I guess.

  2. I’m willing to bet him putting tape over the Nike logo doesn’t have to do with the Yankees uniform

  3. Oh my gosh he’s not lockstep in line with my milquetoast ideology and prefers the other milquetoast ideology 😞

  4. Totally agree! I’ve been saying that the last 10 years! If they don’t perform…send them down to figure shit out!

  5. Ok but who is in charge of the decision to send struggling players to the minors though……

  6. The ‘dumb jock’ stereotype exists for a reason. Guys like Wells should be extremely thankful they happened to be good a playing with their balls.

  7. How did this turn into a political rant. Can’t even get some information without you a holes turning political. Address your crap on a different site Honestly!!

  8. It takes Cashman too much time to move off players who are either clearly washed up or just straight up terrible and who’s play Is hurting the team simply because Cashman hates admitting he made mistakes. He hung onto Sanchez, Gallo, Donaldson, and Hicks for too long. He will hang onto Stanton for too long, that is a guarantee. Stanton will be unplayable within 2 years and Cashman will have him in the Lineup for at least a year past that
