Maybe they could just combine them into one major league-quality team?
Ain’t gonna happen. Attendance would be better than Oakland and make Fisher look like an even bigger fool for leaving.
I want to be there for my Bay Area brothers but I feel like this only enables Fisher’s shitty behavior.
If the A’s were building a new ballpark in Oakland and just needed a place to play while it was being finished up or something, I’d be 100% in to help them out. It’d be good for baseball, good for the Bay Area and good for the businesses around the ballpark.
But asking the Giants to pitch in when they’re fucking over Oakland and breaking the hearts of their fans? Go to hell.
I’m one of the fans that loved both team—mainly because I got into baseball during the Battle of the Bay World Series. From the time I was a kid to an adult, I’d go to a lot of both teams’ games—especially A’s games on dollar days for inexpensive tickets, hot dogs, beer. Loved them as my second team. Going to Vegas and fucking over their fans? Well, then fuck them too. They can go play baseball at McCoppin or some shit. Fuck them.
