[Wojnarowski] The Portland Trail Blazers are signing free agent center Duop Reath on a one-year deal, sources tell ESPN. Reath was a starter for the Australia in the World Cup and played for the Blazers’ summer league team. He played at LSU and has had stops in Serbia and China.

legit like this signing, and surprised we’re using the last roster spot. Thought having a pittance of center depth was a feature, not a bug. Now the coaching staff at least has some options

I like it. Whether he develops into a role player for us, or gets his value to a point where he is a positive trade asset, it’s a good low risk signing with upside.

He looked solid in summer league but tbf he is like 28 playing against much younger guys. His physicality was very noticeable and he won’t have that same advantage in the NBA. Also not a a guard so that is always good news
