So basically Baker is the new Tom Brady. Was there any doubt?
Keep in mind that’s with the first half dragging him down. **Really** good second half. (And final drive of the first).
Positive about that first half: No turnovers on a QB that is notorious for it when things go wrong.
Now he and Canales need to build on this and show that it wasn’t just a one/off and that this was just an early season slow start, not something frequent. And if they do we may have something here.
It’s week 1 so **everything** has to be taken with a grain of salt, but next week was my only hope for a win in the 1st four weeks before the season started. The Bears look really rough and were bad last year too.
The Eagles yesterday did not play like a team that just went to the Superbowl. If our defense can give Jalen trouble we might actually eek out a win there, but lets see how the Eagles do next week before adjusting expectations there, still currently not excited about this one.
Saints defense looks good but Carr was nothing special last week. I think this game could be ugly, but I also think we’ll split the series with them. I’d love to steal a win here on their turf though.
I don’t think we go 4-0 but if what we saw in the second half was what we can expect from the offense moving forward and the defense continues to play very well 3-1 is definitely not totally insane to think about.

I’m happy for him and the team. I already expected/predicted a revitalized Baker. I was expecting to see even more from him than he was allowed to do because that line was killing us the entire first half.
