I know it’s been a year but I wish I can still hear him say “It’s time for dodger baseball”

  1. I don’t remember alot of things in detail from my childhood, but I vividly remember listening to him call a game Burt Hooton pitched when I was 8 years old and my family was on vacation in Santa Barbara and I was looking down at the hotel pool from our room on a cloudy misty summer day in 1975.

  2. SNLA still uses a recording of Vin telling us it’s time for Dodger baseball at the head of every broadcast.

  3. When the Padres are on a hot streak, and then they hear this…

They ain’t gonna be so hot no more…

  4. I’m old enough to remember fans bringing small radios so they could listen to him announce while watching the game.
