Spurs have plenty of assets to mess around with. What are y’all’s thoughts about a pg?

I hear there’s a guy named Payne that came free all of a sudden.
No need to make a big (likely expensive) splash until we’re trying to get that one last piece for a push. Still need to give the young guys some time to grow and mesh together so we can figure out exactly what we need. For all we know Point-Sochan is the future. All those picks aren’t going anywhere.
I know Air Alamo needs to do something to get clicks right now, but…hard pass on all of these. Spending resources on guys like these who are just…meh? That’s a terrible idea.
Pass.
We’re not contending for the title, so we don’t need a big name PG for now.
Unless, of course, a Scoot Henderson clone is available.
Nah, let’s see how this season was plays out and then make a move in the draft
No point in it
We have so many first round picks coming up in the next three years let’s just find a stud there. Paying now for slightly above average PGs does not get us to contention
This year is still an “in development” year. No need to send assets yet. Next off-season we’ll probably see some more moves/signings
No, keep assets and decide next season
Simons would be perfect for us. I’d give up a couple of firsts for him if blazers are selling.
The team has said multiple times that they aren’t going to make any significant moves until they know what works with what they have.
So… no.
No need to yet this season. See how team does. If we’re top 5 lotto then draft a PG. if we are better but no playoffs trade our pick plus Toronto pick and maybe a role player for a more established PG
Most of all just don’t try to do too much too quick
I mean…. I would say hell yes to Josh giddy. No way in hell ok would trade him for anything less then a insane overpay. It’s best to simply be patient for now and see how the nucleus grows this year
There are some guys that I really like because I value size in a point guard. This league is becoming positionless so having a small point guard is a detriment. I do like Giddey and Fultz and have also advocated for Ben Simmons (much to the dismay of a lot of people on here lol.) However, if the guy we get isn’t a significant upgrade to Tre, I’m strongly against a trade.
The only point guard that I think we could get that would also be worth getting is Immanuel Quickley.
Haliburton, Garland, or Fox would be dope too
Idk what the point of the piece is if they aren’t gonna take a stab at what we’d have to give up
If they were to trade for a point guard the only guard I’d rather they trade for is marcus smart. Great playmaker, could shoot, and most importantly, big enough to play defense.
