We only trade with the Braves. That’s Royals baseball now.
I like it. Both guys are in need of a change of scenery.
Kowar will finally develop now won’t he?
Honestly I think I’d rather have kept Kowar over any of the other guys in our pen
Wright was terrible last year but won 21 games in 2022 with an ERA just over 3, which would be great in our rotation
And also just realized that Wright won’t pitch in 2024… so that’s a little bummer
Getting a guy that led the mlb in wins 2 years ago for Kowar is a massive W
So this is what it must have felt like to be a Braves fan at the beginning of Major League.
Braves fan,
Kyle’s shoulder was completely fucked last year the entire year, I would not consider that as a part of his general body of work and he was basically pitching hurt the entire year start to finish. His 2022 is much more representative of where he was at as a pitcher composition wise
He won’t pitch in ’24 due to getting surgery to fix his shoulder. Basically unknown if it’s truly fucked or not, but if it isn’t the Royals just got a great frontline starter to match Ragans in the rotation for ’25 for not a whole lot
