Am I good enough to go D1 off my film? Im a 6’8 forward sophomore at a d1 juco and I was genuinely wondering if my film is good enough to go D1

  1. I mean anyone can look D1 just based off highlights but being 6’8, athletic, and the ability to put the ball on the floor definitely has D1 potential

  2. Follow your dreams my man. You’re way better than I will ever be so take this with a grain of salt, this is purely my opinion from watching the film:

    Don’t lead the tape with the breakaway dunk packages. I get why you wanna do it, because you’re proud of those moments, but think like a coach you might show this tape to. Coaches watching it probably assume you can finish in the open, but your dunking in the beginning doesn’t look especially athletic/fluid for your size. So either the coach won’t care or he could see downside.

    The rest of the tape is really good though. Your footwork and passing from the post is really good!

    One hole is seeing your screen assists/defensive boards. It’s not glamorous but you gotta ask yourself, if you make it on the team what is your role gonna be? A lot of it will probably be using your size to set solid screens and box out. If that’s the case then show it in your tape.
