  1. Only one thing on earth would be scarier than a line up of 9 Cal Raleigh’s.

    A lineup of 9 Mountcastles.

  2. You can’t win too many games when you score 1 run… but man does this team need Swanson and Romano. Green, Garcia, Swanson, and Romano make a great back end of a bullpen.

  3. Shoutouts Yimi Garcia, he was electric.

Swanson and Romano can’t come back any sooner.

  4. winning the series is good but I really thought we had a sweep when Kirk hit a laser or on Ernie’s bloop. Good to see Vladdy hitting lasers again and felt like we made some real nice contact at times …got to hit em where they ain’t. Swanson and Romano will make a big difference but the starting pitching has been great. Let’s sweep the Rockies!

  5. Well that was a disappointing finish. Inches away from winning in the 9th to this.

I’m just going to remember that Vladdy homerun.

  6. A sweep is difficult (insert Montoyo sweep joke here) but really felt like the Ms were reeling all series offensively and a sweep was very attainable. Oh well, taking 2/3 is never a bad thing.

Also, I don’t know how people still try to sell us on Mitch White. He’s not it. I assume he’s gone when Swanson/Romano return. Or at least I hope I can somehow will that result.

  7. We need to start bringing in runners in scoring position. That was a huge problem last year if I recall correctly.

  8. Raleigh’s full name is apparently Caleb John Raleigh.

That’s not what Cal is short for, Caleb. Stop lying to us, you fucker

  9. I’m probably a bigger Mayza fan than most but man he needs some sort of phantom IL stint once Romano and Swanson come back to try and get right

  10. Terrific outing by Kikuchi and Garcia, shame we wasted it.

Great high leverage at bat by Vogelbach, dude was poised as hell up there.

Ernie was inches away from being the hero.

Really missing that high leverage relief depth.

Shout out to Vladdy for murdering a baseball. Got the first homer at Rogers out of the way early this year, here’s to many more.

  11. I am happy with a Montoyo sweep given where things were coming into the series

  12. 1 bad inning in the series. Our relievers are having to throw in higher leverage spots and in more innings. Need the help asap. Mayza needs to be able to pitch in low leverage or needs a phantom IL stint to get right. He was so reliable last couple of seasons.

  13. You can’t have Varsho and Kiermaier in the lineup at the same time right now. Their defence can’t cover over the complete black hole their bats are.

Great start by Kikuch, sadly the Jays have decided he’s this year’s Gausman when it comes to run support. Jays haven’t scored a run yet while he’s been in the game.

  14. What would you have done differently for the Clement?

What would you have done differently for the top of 10th?

  15. Kuch was great, Yimi was great, Vladdy and Turner were great.

Bad luck in that bottom of the 9th was bad, non-existent bullpen depth was bad, Mayza continues to be inexplicably bad.

Rest day tomorrow followed by a series vs the second-worst team in baseball will be much needed. Jano, Swanson, and Romano will be back soon. Sunny skies ahead.

    Have a good one, folks!

  16. Four every day players hitting .176, .158, .146 and .097 is fucking brutal.

Bo and Vlad barely being at the Mendoza line is fucking brutal

IKF being our second best hitter is fucking brutal

40 year old Justin Turner being our best hitter is fucking brutal.

This is really the best offence that our dumbass FO could put together in one of the last years of Bo and Vlad being cheap contracts. The “Ross Atkins has been fired by the Toronto Blue Jays” tweet is gonna hit like crack.

  17. I didn’t see the game. Only looking at the box score.
Tim was clearly not aMAYZAing Today…

  18. Wasn’t on the thread and I’m sure I wasn’t alone in this thought, but I thought at the time it made more sense to have IKF run for Turner instead of Babe. Leave Babe’s bat for Kirk or KK. Can’t be mad at Vogelbach drawing a walk but Schneider has been captain clutch and any single would have been a W. I think I’d have liked it even more if they PH Schneider for Kirk and Vogelbach for KK if he was retired.

Can anyone explain (John) Schneider’s logic here? Was it the pitcher?
