BENGALS FAN REACTS TO PFF GRADING THE CINCINNATI BENGALS OFFSEASON SO FAR!!
so PFF released their grades for this off season now that it’s not totally complete but as complete as we’re going to get for this time being I mean really the only thing left at this point is the um second wave of free agency and then the 53 man roster so with that being said they release their first I guess yeah let’s just say offseason in general I don’t think they’re going to release another grade for the offseason but they released their grades for the off season and they gave us an a which I’ll be honest with you and this might sound like like come on man that’s a that’s a good grade like take the good grade I’m kind of feel disrespected I think we got an A+ like listen I’m never the guy who likes to overdo it when it comes to you know giving support for my team you know if you watch my videos I barely give support for the Bengals right I barely think we’re the best team to ever walk the earth and Joe burrow is the best quarterback in the league and I don’t care what people say stop commenting that Patrick Mahomes is better um you know I’m like you know so I I like to think I’m very levelheaded when it comes to these things but I I like on a real note though I think we’re A+ like there’s nothing that we did not cover that we needed to cover like last season biggest Pro oh left guard okay we we’re moving ourselves back back down to a I’m I’m actually talking myself back down to a on this aspect because we didn’t get a left guard we did get two right tackles we had a right tackle problem then we had a vacancy at right tackle but we still didn’t get a Right Guard I mean left guard to replace cordal Volson but then you could also make the argument that quel Volson he looked really good in the second half of last season so I know the first half he was freaking awful but if you’re thinking about this logically you’re like okay well the guy is Young he’s going to take maybe take some more time to develop he showed at least promising looks at the end of last off season I mean sorry theend the end of last season so if he keeps somewhat developing in that way you get you know a rookie in there we also didn’t draft any offense lineman man like there we dropped the right tackle but that’s it we didn’t Dro any offensive linan outside of the right tackle okay yeah know I I think I’m I’m finding myself back down to an eight as well I think pff’s correct you know first I was like going to be kind of crazy about this but then now to think about it yeah no I’m I’m talking myself off the ledge here guys all right so let’s see what they said okay me rambling aside he said Bengals didn’t lose T Higgins which was a win in my opinion they also signed Gino Stone and Tren Brown as impact players losing DJ reader was tough but as their other losses Browns brown replaces Jonah Williams which is kind of funny because we lost DJ reader right and it sucks that we lost DJ reader but we replaced DJ reader with Sheldon Rankin who isn’t really going to replace him let’s be honest he’s more of a pass rusher but you got Chris Jenkins you got um Jack in the draft right then you also have some other players you brought in undrafted players defensive line position so it’s like we didn’t replace him in theory but we have like 17 other players that are going to be like on this team in the same area that he would be in if that makes sense so and I love Chris Jenkins I think Chris Jenkins will truly replace him but it’s like we didn’t go out there and say okay we’re going to spend Big Boy money on a defensive tackle to get somebody else we tried to but we didn’t really work out so it’s like we didn’t replace him but we did replace him we’re going to have to wait and see if these draft picks hit which I think they will but again we’ll have to wait um while Zach Moss along with along with Chase Brown from last year’s draft replaces Joe Mixon since that he also had an excellent start of the draft see I don’t think that Zach Moss replaces Joe Mixon okay and I’m pretty sure sure like my my idea cuz I I I first when we first got Zach Moss right I I was saying that too I was saying like oh no he does we we you know obviously didn’t like upgrade but we got someone who’s the equipment of Jo Joe Mixon but now that I think about and I took some more time to think about it that’s why I always say when it comes to opinions I have no problems when analysts change their opinions because over time as humans we all grow we all learn we all you know hear different ideas it’s just when you flipflop back and forth but here’s what I’ll say about this Zach Moss is not an upgrade or not a replacement in Joe Mixon he’s a completely new animal above himself Joe Mixon gave us a amazing in between a tackle Pure Runner who could also catch the football Zach Moss is more just in between the tackles now he’s not as one-dimensional as Derrick Henry is I think he can still catch the ball he’s just not known for it he’s also really good in pass blocking and Joe Mixon definitely struggled a lot in that aspect so I think there is no replacing Joe Mixon with Zach Moss what you did was you moved your offense in another direction right you took it as a way to kind of pivot to another direction for this offense that’s how I look at the the the Zach Moss signing it isn’t in theory a replacement it’s just you went in a different direction so that’s kind of how I look at it when it comes to that um Cincinnati also had an excellent start to the draft selecting Maris Mims Chris Jenkins and Germaine Burton and the Bengals remain a top team yeah also I got a comment recently uh somebody said like I I they were joking but they said something like I should uh what I should apologize to you guys for is every wining ever wanting Brock Bowers and I’ll tell you one thing um if you’ve watched my videos the last couple months you know Brock Bowers yes I would love to have gotten him right and I was really excited if we could have gotten him but if anyone watched my content you know Johnny Newton was my guy like if I was drafting at pick 18 and this is why I’m not the guy who picks the draft picks okay I’m not we would have Johnny Newton on our roster right now just a little not so to other people like oh well you know like you wanted Brock Bowers badly I wanted Brock Bowers cuz I felt like for what the fanbase wanted slash what I think could help us out in the short term right now and what probably is more of a guarantee Brock balers was a great pick but I wanted Johnny Newton I wanted Bryan Murphy number one that was my number one pick but Brion Murphy was off the board but if I picked 18 your boy would have went Johnny Newton and called it the day Tron Arnold was really close to Johnny Newton it might have been Tron arold I think again like Mar SM was down my board like it would been Tron Arnold it would have been maybe um Williams or it would have been uh Johnny Newton and then it probably would have been like amarius Mims or something like that or not even I probably would have went Troy Fon a Fano whatever um but not Troy Fano wait is that that’s the Penn State guy I’m talking about the Washington Husky guy the guy the seals went with I probably would have went with him and I probably would have moved him to left guard but anyway so that’s again that’s why I don’t draft so why I don’t do the drafting here okay that’s the whole point um but yeah know I think overall wise I I I think it a is a pretty good grade for us this off season I think that it’s an A+ plus if we figure out the cell Volson situation figure out the codal Volson situation and it’s an A++ because again at the end of the day and I fall I find myself kind of pivoting away from this way too much and it’s the most important thing to do you got to protect number nine it doesn’t matter who else you get you can get the best receivers in the world you can get Jay jettus you can get this guy this guy this guy you can’t protect number nine you’re going to lose every single game so that’s really what it comes down to in the end it’s just making sure number Nine’s protected and this off seon I think we did a good job on it but we got to continue on it right so and by the way again I’m not trying to crap on amarus M I love amarius Ms it’s just I if I was drafting I wouldn’t have drafted him like that’s just the fact I would have drafted probably TR like if I’m being honest Tran Arnold I would have drafted him if I was um you know on crazy pills I probably would have drafted um Johnny Newton there’s a lot of
