going to have some more Award winners announced this week at 2:00 tomorrow the all rookie team on the Kia Performance Awards the all defensive team that will be announced on Tuesday and then on our pregame show Wednesday we will announce the 2:00 tomorrow afternoon yeah we’re not doing that are we no it’s just when the league that’s when the league releases I’m I’m just going to be on LinkedIn no you need to be here at 2 o’clock tomorrow we’ll be on LinkedIn tomorrow afternoon we’re gonna be might be on linked for real all right let’s take a look at game seven at the Garden Pacers and Knicks OG and anobi back in there it only played two games in this series I love that kid where he aggravated yeah I love that kid but you know you got to protect players for themselves sometime he tried to give it a go it lasted 4 minutes and 41 seconds meantime Indiana came out smoking absolutely I mean just confident I think their Superstars right here Halbert just aggressive in attack mode instead of being the facilitator he was their score downhill step back step you back that’s the most aggressive I’ve ever seen him today they needed and I tell you what man their depth is very underrated to me they’re they’re one of the deepest teams in the NBA got him selfish well yeah I mean their bench was uh out standing in the regular season and has been here in the post as well and here’s Halbert and again Dan step you very much 33 assists he can’t guard me 70- 55 was your score at the half New York makes a run Jaylen Brunson he had one heck of a year man he did have a great year Josh Hart hasn’t been the same with the injuries he’s one of my favorite people John ma series but they did cut it to six he didn’t say the same Chu Aaron neith and then look at this man I’m telling you Smith again TJ mcconell man you have got my respect my man you have been fabulous oh he’s been he was huge in this series he was huge they don’t win this series Without 100% they do not they’re going to need halberton to play like this jayen Brunson with a swipe down hits the left hand it’s broken you know that play happens a 100 times a game it’s amazing how it doesn’t happen more often halberton again 26 and six 10 out of 17 6 out of 12 from deep and the Indiana Pacers knock out the New York Knicks 130 to 109 winning game seven on the Road halberton big seum nard had 20 Aaron nouth didn’t miss scored 19 on eight of eight and the Pacers win it uh first time in 10 years they’re going to the Eastern Conference Finals and here’s Rick Carlile when you win a game seven in Madison Square Garden you’ve made history um it’s very very difficult to do this is this is the most rockus crowd uh in the NBA we’re not all perfect players or perfect coaches but this group really when things get tough uh got tough today they they just problem solved their way through it we know how we started the year defensively but we all came together and we told ourselves man if we can just get to from go from 30 to average you know what I mean we can be you know a hell of a team what we were doing offensively was not sustainable not if you can’t consistently guard and rebound so our guys did the work to put us in a position to be here it’s tough worn’t in the cars for us but we didn’t quit we didn’t we didn’t make excuses um we battled and hopefully um New York can be can be proud of that um and be hopeful uh for us to come you didn’t think this was a successful year right why do you feel that way and how would you evaluate the year did we win a championship did we get close so no that’s just that’s my mindset that’s just how it is nothing wrong with it I love again B nothing wrong with it I love it I love his approach that’s why he’s a star something you can build around they get a couple more pieces they will get over the hump I love Rick Carlile and Mark and Miles Turner like saying it wasn’t sustainable that we were just playing offense the first half of the season and we can just be average middle of the road defensively you know cuz er a lot of times when you winning you develop a lot of bad habits and you don’t think about big picture like we can beat these low class low low level teams but for us to get better we got he said he says I think they said we’re never going to be great defensively let’s just be average so that tells me coach Carlile has their ear and more important the players are listen like guys we got to get better defensively and Chuck I think the playin tournament was the wakeup call for them that they were good enough made a lot of noise got to the finals and got embarrassed and I think that was like have to that’s a great Point that’s a really good point if we want to be in this position right here and who did they beat in The Knockout round of the inseason tournament to get out there to Vegas knocked out the Boston Celtics yeah it’s um the matchups are going to be um interesting because um sometimes when you play fast you allow Brown and Tatum to have more shot opportunities and that could be dangerous because those two guys are so efficient when they get rolling um and and they’re not afraid to take 25 shots either one of them so if you if you’re giving both of them multitude I think for me when I watch Bros the struggle it’s when the game slows down and one guy has to watch the other but when they’re getting a lot of touches and they’re not watching each other they become even more dangerous so there’s a monitorization you have to put on it and this guy has been on fire Derek white he has been the glue the Catalyst and the difference in why the Boston Celtics got an opportunity to sit and chill and watch what was going on here we have a matchup here of the number one Boston and the number two Indiana teams in offensive rating in the in the NBA this this series man I I’m and I’m said I hate to be redone the poringa injury is going to be huge this series cuz Indiana might be the deepest team in the ba and they play everybody they play quality minutes they don’t they don’t hide guys they don’t overplay the Their Stars SE yakum can play against anybody Hal’s gonna do his thing uh man this is going to be a very good series I I say I I’m gonna probably pick the Celtics but I’ve been saying me and Kenny both been saying the Celtics are not going to win the championship without porzingis and this series here this a six or seven game series but and I think if there is no porzingis it falls on Tatum and what I mean is sometimes he gets into situations where he settles Brown is not that guy he’s going to go for it but Tatum gets to where he settles sometime for just jump shots if there’s no porzingis he’s going to have to be in attack mode Attack Mode continually putting pressure on the defense drawing fouls getting to the free throw line as well as a lot of shots I agree with you he settles yeah way and he he does that thing Luca does makes great mve then stealth back is shoot it and if it’s going in it’s great if it’s not it stagnis the offense uh meantime end of the season for the New York Knicks after a stag 50 win season spell stagi stagi yeah creation can I see if it’s can I see if that’s a real word stagnis well I could spell it but I got other stuff to talk about okay well I want to know if that’s a real word stagy you know shout out to the Knicks organization man who electrifies you got to give a shout out to guy my uh those guys up there cuz they’ve done a fabulous job oh fabulous they fabuliz they I mean you got to give them credit you know we don’t know how the injuries affected the their real season but they’ve done a hell of a job in New York it’s great to see the Knicks relevant again uh but you know they G to have some interesting decisions to make this summer them and the 76ers are the two teams the Sixers got a Max slot Nicks got 100 102 draft picks but man they they both in good have to worry about phone calls it’s easy to make a phone call now when you playing this well guys now people would take their call now used to be like yeah I’m not going to New York but now now they’ll take their phone call not not only take their phone call they’re like I fit in there like the one thing about style of play and this is why I’m so big on it Vince and is like style of play not just makes you play better but it also makes you draft better makes you trade better and makes you coach better because now you know the missing piece there’s some trades that go in the NBA and they go oh is that a good trade I’m I have no idea I don’t know because he plays one way y’all I don’t know how you guys play so I don’t know if you’re going to play fast or play slow with him but when now when you come to the Knicks Tipo has developed a style of play so when OG came in you go oh no that’s going to make a difference you know for what they do I thought Charles was going to kind of create some kind of a Clyde Frasier kind of pize the stagz and I’ll just make him up as I go obviously we well we know you been eler has up his sleeve been ER I expect this stuff from Kenny not you ear we know you’ve been to prison so I held off I wasn’t going to bring it up first of all first of all I haven’t been to prison I’ve been to jail okay my bad yeah that’s is the F for for oh oh yeah final four in 2019 okay yeah that’s not dancing that’s called jumping around at least he wasn’t stagma tized yes he wasn’t staged stop it Ernie [Music]

  1. Call it what it is if half the Knicks team wasn’t injured they would have won this series pacers played good but to Rick to say they made history? Calm down

  2. Pascal Siakam and T.J. McConnell are studs. Too bad they have a cartoon character (Haliburton) as a teammate. But let's face it…Healthy Bucks and Knicks team would've smacked the Pacers. Celtics in 5.

  3. They got to stop with the narrative about the Knicks crowd being loud 😂😂😂 have yall seen a football match in Argentina? Basketball in Greece? Even a darts match in the Netherlands is more active. Of course the ignorance of Americans showing again 😅😂

  4. I highly doubt turner sports will allow the nba to move to nbc. They know and understand the value of this show. They know where their bread is buttered.

  5. Knicks definitely have a bright future but man, it’s unfortunate. In terms of the pacers, I can very well see them beating Boston, especially if they lock down on defense.

  6. So glad Indiana overcame the officiating bias for the Knicks, it’s been clear swings in their favor since their series with the Sixers. This evened the playing field, and in some ways, it feels karmic. Play it fair 💯

  7. Let's all agree Pacers win is just a luck due to injuries. It will be Minnesota and Boston in the finals. It will be Minnesota's first championship and It's ant man decent to NBA supremacy, the next coming of his airiness. His competetiveness is steaming

  8. Kenny make a good point
    Celtics are no different offensively
    Than the pacers
I am clueless on thier defense and boards abilities
I wanted the pacers to face the knicks since mid season.
Knowing the knicks hustle, board, and defend. Either they would rise to the challenge or learn the embarrassing way.
Jellova start for a newly minted mostly young first time playoff team. Facing injured teams or not.
They have pleanty of quality wins in season to fill in the doubt bs celtics resulting in beating injured teams. You know the knicks are dying inside. If only we were slightly healthier.
Pacers early lacked grit and could get boarded badly
So if they had an unusual off night on offense, they was gonna lose
Then the IST and the back to backs vs same team pacers were much better and very successful in game 2. And a.big part was turning board deficit into balance or even win.
And only a 1 day turnaround wait!
Can't wait to see you Boston. A Lil playoff lore with celtics pacers too. Can't wait to see what's added to it!

  9. Ok, Let’s think about it this way…
If two teams that the national media believes are rougher, tougher & play with credibility AND are likely to unseat the Celtics as the best in the east…lose star player after star player to a team going thru the playoffs, there has to be a story there. Wait, hold on, these are soft tissue injuries on the lower extremities, abdominal muscle injuries, foot injuries, hand injuries…this team they are playing must be the Bad Boy Pistons or a Pat Riley led franchise…right?

Opponent star players have been not able to finish the series against this team. A DNF? Is there a Draymond Greene type enforcer out there for this team? The defensive player of year?

No. Literally, the pace of play, the total number of trips up & down the court, the passing rotations around the half court offense and picking up 94 feet by the 2nd unit are the 2024 version of when the no-huddle spread offense hit college football with RG3. Did i mention the 3 pointers…

Dame, Giannis, Brunson, OG, Hart all missed time unable to continue medically. And Portis missed time due to ejection bc of frustration.

I am not suggesting that the 2024 Pacers are an all time, legacy NBA team but credit is due that opponents have not been able to outlast them…to this point.

  10. SALUTE TO VINCE CARTER, I HAVEN'T SEEN BIG DAWG IN A MINUTE, SOME OF MY BEST CHILDHOOD MEMORIES AI, VINCE CARTER AND T-MAC MAN THAT WAS SOMETHING TO WITNESS 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯💚💚💚
