um I want to first thank uh my Trainers for getting me back to the plane get me to the game I love playing everything um I can’t thank them enough Scotty wall Joe um Dusty they did an amazing job to get me back and get me back for um I said something at at the end of the game that I walked into a from not knowing anything and they made me feel at home I truly believe that it’s a good group of guys and here they care um it’s really close me and it was so easy for me to come in here and transition to be myself and be just be me and um the leadership group in here is amazing and to be a part of this group was really special we we really do have a close net group in here I was so fortunate to be a part of that and we came up short it’s unfortunate but um you got to afford a ton of credit for bringing their game every single night um we can sit there and point the finger but we’re not um but for me I had the most the best experience in my life in my career to be a part of this group and be a part of this there these guys that really truly care and I can’t thank them enough to welcome me my wife and my daughter my son to be a part of that um you when you go through um teams and you go through a bunch of teams and I feel like this team was it I really did um just because how everyone is and how they act and how they treat everyone and you can tell the leadership group Tri it’s a trickle dollar effect of this group and it goes a long the way so you can Envision this team winning the Stanley Cup you you’ve had that Ultimate Prize and know what it takes can you envision this group growing together and getting there absolutely I mean look at the Young talent that I inserted into the lineup throughout the year this year Justin brazel uh beer uh lowai like there’s you know there’s a lot of town in this room and some of them only played 14 games and then play off some played 15 games some played 25 games imagine if they had a full year underneath underneath their belt and there’s a lot of young talent in this group and um some for me I think it’s only on the op and um it’s a group that has great leadership uh they can you know teach these guys they go if you’re a tough honor um but for me I think they can win soon have you thought about extending your stay here I would love to stay I think um I really enjoyed my time here I can’t speak you know uh I’ve been speaking on it but my time here has been amazing and um I really truly mean that from the bottom of my heart I this this is a group good group of guys and great organization and um like I said the trainers and the staff that got me back it’s been remarkable and um it’s been truly fun to be a part of a special group in here but you know it’s fun with you know the culture they have in this locking room that knowingly they want to win every single year and just going to show you what this organization all about you got roll or more than money at this point in your career what my role that’s I’m ask is that is that I mean for you uh I think yeah I mean listen I’m I’m a guy that’s happy to be anywhere you know and but I would love to be here and I think uh my role that never change um since I’ve been a player um you have to adapt on the Fly sometimes and um I adapted on the fly to be a guy that wanted to put in NHL and that you know where I want I put up points and unfortunately if you want to make it you got to do something else and I showed that and so I just keep be myself and be who I am and never change you talked about the training staff getting you back back surgery how was your health uh during the postseason it was good yeah I I felt great coming back um unfortunately I got you know when you get thrown in the fire I mean it’s tough you know everyone’s up to speed everyone’s been playing for all year and you know everyone’s getting ready for the postseason and but um I’m glad I played against Pittsburgh and Washington two teams that are fighting for a playoff spot to get me back to where I was supposed to be and and get me up to speed so my health is great I just um It’s just tough when you get when you play everyone’s kind of already been playing for a long time so um no excuses for me I wish I would have played a lot better um I feel like uh I could I could have gave a little more um but for me I thought I was all in all I was happy do that give you your motivation to stay here that give them better version 100% that’s why I want to come back I think uh for me um I I want to take this summer I can kind of rehab and keep continuing my process to get healthier and um get back to my you know the game I’m used to playing and uh I started feeling it towards the end um so this is a great group of guys like I said and I I truly want to be a part of it because I think we have something special in this what the Su uh you want my honest opinion uh I don’t know uh sitting on the beach hanging out by the pool um going back to Tampa hang out with my son hang out with my daughter um train but just kind of uh relax kind of kind of clear the head a little bit and uh you know as you get older and you play this game you appreciate it more and um you want to do everything you can to keep playing right because this is all we know this is truly all we know and um for me just go back clear my head talk for my family and just kind of just put the feet up and you know get get get packed get back to where he supposed to be played that three times you’ve been on the team that leaves a a trail of teams thinking we got to be Tampa we’ve got to be St Louis in this case Florida beats you guys you walk away from this saying we’ve got to be this much better or they serve as a litus test to what this team do listen like for me I think FL is a hell of a hockey team they they play the same way um all the time they’re simple they’re hard they’re good face um they they tight check they do everything the right way I think uh for us it was just a mistake here that they capitalized on and unfortunately I went the other way um I don’t think it’s beaten whoever you have to beat everyone anyways to get through this to finals and wi stand the cup so um they did a hell of a job of playing the right way and playing hard unfortunately we just came up short

Boston Bruins traded for Pat Maroon late in the season and the forward couldn’t express enough his love for not only the training staff who helped him recover, but the locker room chemistry the B’s had.
