New York Jets Roster Complete?! Remaining Needs for the Jets
we don’t need anybody else but I wanted to phrase it to you and this is obviously we open the show talking Justin Jefferson in like a big splash but do you feel the Jets roster as is is like like good you don’t want to add anything else or is there something left on the table that you would like to do with the Jets having roughly around like $6 million in cap space I think if we’re healthy so Mo 90% of any feeling of we need to do something would would is about depth it’s just about security it’s about feeling better I like I’ve talked about it before there’s an undrafted free agent in the interior offensive line Brady leam who I really like I don’t know if he’s ready to actually come in I don’t know you know if there’s an injury I don’t know if we can rely on him I’m not saying that because I’ve all I could watch is college foot you know he’s never taking an NFL snap I do feel that aside from that you know that I like that one guy there is some lacking in the depth of the offensive line I don’t think that’s a lot of money I think that’s like Conor mover if he’s healthy but just bringing in another guy that we can trust and feel okay with you know on the bench for the interior offensive line for the for the defense I wouldn’t argue because if we have the money and we can make it happen I wouldn’t mind getting the safety you know uh Simmon uh at all I don’t think there would be anything wrong with that I think it would make the team better but I also don’t think it’s such a needle mover that I’m worried it’s going to be the reason we can’t compete for a championship yeah I’m I wanted to pull up Robbie Sabo put this out today I’ll hide that so we could see the full thing of what his projected depth chart is so I thought it was interesting to go through uh and and see where they might be a whole I have a few like really nitpicky things like on the smaller side interior offensive line is definitely one of them I think you you might be higher on Brady leam than I am which is fine you know like every you know everyone’s gonna have their you know opinions on the guy I would like I think I would rank that as number one if I were to add something was interior offensive line depth a veteran on the market but I could also see that looking at safety uh you know Tony Adams Isaiah Oliver is moving to safety Chuck Clark Ashton Davis I think Isaiah Oliver moving to from corner to safety is maybe an indication that they don’t feel great about that move so if there was something on the defensive side of the ball I think they’re good on the defensive line um you know maybe if you want to get picky a fourth Edge but I would think safety would be their their play on the defense do you agree yeah yeah outside if you’re talking about a starter like where on the team do we need a starter not depth but a starter and that where we could realistically get better without spending tons of money based on the talent we already have in each place I think it’s safety yep definitely that’s like the last thing but with like if you had to choose a spot that was your weakest position like it being safety is not the worst thing in the world right like it would be much more impactful if like you were really bit like really weak uh at Edge or left tackle or corner or quarterback those are much more impactful positions in my opinion so the fact that like what we are debating semantics wise over you know what the Jets need to add is safety that’s I think a good indication of where the roster is right now what’s up guys mat from Talking Jets if you liked that video please make sure to subscribe and follow for more New York Jets content
