Bruins’ Rookie Mason Lohrei On How Much Fun He Had In His First NHL Season
conference few yeah it’s been uh it’s been incredible I was just telling my parents that it’s the most fun I’ve had playing hockey ever this playoff we had um obviously you know being able to come in and jump into a role and kind of run with it is is huge for confidence and you know going into the summer definitely gives me a lot of motivation to stay at it after the game you and J by two players that stood out first experience in post that uh one of my best friends sent it to me and I don’t honestly can’t even put in the words like for him to mention me by name and I don’t know it’s pretty special it’s a guy that uh I look up to a lot and uh know just he’s a guy that you want to go out there every night and compete for and yeah pretend them your dad I’m M what uh what made it so much fun would you tell your parents what made it it l just I don’t know the whole process you’re going out there every night and uh putting everything on the line with you know all your all your best friends and it’s just a special time of year so it’s was really cool to to be a part of it and that’s what made it for last how much you think it’ll help you going forward now as a player yeah like I said it’s I mean in value about how just the experience and being able to um have that under my belt now and just going into the summer we all that much more motivated not to feel like this again it’s the most important thing that you kind of confirmed theoule we your game um I mean just having that confidence go out there and make plays and you know I think game management uh when to take risks when not to um and then just you know being able to play is hard right and being able to go out there and you know hold my own and try and be physical and you know box out in front of the net and win battles and obviously stuff I got to continue to work on but good to see that you know go out there and compete for the summer um go home and always get to the lake uh uh hang out with my buddies and get right back at it so on the lake in the gym um not sure yet honestly still figuring stuff out um but I’ll be here a bunch and you know at home in the lake is the goal now never be in the AHL again to have put yourself in a spot to to to earn this is this is where you are this is where you belong and this is where you’re staying yeah I think I mean it’s always been my goal to play in the NHL um I think you know obviously I’m a little closer today than I was yesterday and definitely you know the beginning of the year but uh it’s always been my goal to to be another day in so just keep working until it happens you feel like you’ve gotten to a point where you’re more reliable and they can trust you kind of trust what you’re going to bring every day yeah I just throughout the course of the year um just showing up every day and and trying Pro that and you know gain gain that trust from the coaching staff um obviously I’m a lot further now than I was 8 months ago when
Boston Bruins rookie Mason Lohrei recorded 13 points in 41 games during his rookie season with the B’s and he made sure to tell his parents how much fun he had.

I appreciate this kid so much, he stuck out even amongst the veterans players.
Future Cornerstone 💪🏻
He is and is going to be an amazing Bruin !
These playoffs were a coming out party for Lohrei. For a raw rookie learning a tough position on the go, he's practically a top 4 D guy on the Bruins. Hopefully, the best is yet to come. 👏👏👏
Love the double minor that ended game 3. Way to be.
Knocked a few chicklits loose good job
Up and coming superstar 😎👍🏻
