EDMONTON OILERS VS FLORIDA PANTHERS 2024 PLAYOFFS STANLEY CUP FINALS SERIES PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS
all right so here it is the Stanley Cup Final series preview between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers by the way big shout out over to BR open ice for this wonderful graphic Matthew kachuck Conor McDavid take a big wild guess as to where Calgary Flames fans are going to be betting on and hoping wins this Stanley Cup finals matchup but we have ourselves the tale of two very different teams one team has been here before the Florida Panthers were literally the finalists last year the other is Canada’s best hope at bringing the Stanley Cup back over to Canada since 1993 it has been so long and when it comes to both of these two teams there’s a lot good going for them I wanted to focus on some of these things over here but also I wanted to just go over some of the extended numbers this was talked about and more in the Panthers to play Oilers in Stanley Cup Final article published on nhl.com by David satriano link is going to be in the description if you want to go ahead and read this yourself let’s go out there and read a good part of this over here the Panthers Advanced to The Cup Final for the second straight season with a 2 to1 win against the Rangers two days ago the Oilers Advanced for the first time since 06 with a 2 to1 win yesterday I think there’s a lot of New York Rangers in both these teams Florida Coach Paul Marie said of the Oilers and the stars like the brilliant speed and dynamic off the rush that would be our sense that the Boston series to the Rangers is completely different this would be more akin to what we’ve seen in our last series we think we’ve seen three completely different styles in some ways Florida is the number one seed in the Atlantic they’ll have home ICE advantage against Edmonton who was second seed from the Pacific forward carder heggy and Matthew kachuck are doing pretty good things and Alexander barov is doing all right too Sam Reinhardt has 12 points as well so he can’t count him out with his eight goals goalie Sergey babski has started every game going 12 and5 with a 220 goals against and a 908 save percentage the Panthers were 20 and0 against the Oilers in the regular season winning 5 to3 at home on November 20th and 5 to1 on the road on December 16th carder haggy had five points three goals and two assists Center Sam Bennett had four points two goals and two assists and Center Kevin stenland had three points one goal and two assists in those games bosski was 20 and with a 20 goals against average and a 941 save percentage we’ve seen both of these teams play so we see that they’re both unreal teams unbelievable teams really good players on both teams barov said I’m not going to go into details about the teams right now but for sure either of those teams you’re going to be playing against is going to be a very tough matchup so obviously rest right now recover and then wait for the opponent and then get back to work the article then breaks down the Oilers they’ve been LED this postseason by Conor ma who leads is the NHL with 31 points in 18 games wowzers Leon ddle is second in the league with 28 points Evan buchard is third with 27 points Zach kimman leads the NHL with 14 goals this postseason just video game like numbers out of these guys absolutely incredible the article then writes that Stewart Skinner is 11 and5 with a 249 goals against and an 897 save percentage with one shut out in 17 games Cal picker it is one in one with a 221 goals against and a 915 safe percentage in three games two starts against the Panthers in the regular season Edmonton was again led by McDavid who had three points in those two games Calvin picker started each game going 02 and0 with a 459 goals against and an 873 save percentage the Panthers are 0 and2 in the final they lost in five games to Vegas last year and were swept by Colorado in 1996 Edmonton has won the Stanley Cup five times with the last one coming in 1990 so that is your nhl.com summary if you wanted to go over some of the extra things the extra statistics Jeff Patterson went out there and labeled out one of the biggest ways that Edmonton was able to take control and win these series it was special teams Oilers Pally killed by Series against La they were 12 for2 against Vancouver they were 20 for 23 and against Dallas they were 14 for 14 Edmonton has not succumbed a power play goal against in an entire series worth of time and their penalty kill is just outstanding do the math over here 12 + 23 I know I could very well just find this online but 49 total short-handed situations for the Oilers and they’ve killed off 46 of them their penalty kill is at 94% Absolute bananas Bonkers and then of course their power play is as good if not maybe a tad better okay not a tad better 93 is a pretty high number to attain but still the Oilers are dominating in special teams so even though this is the result that we had seen Florida took five goal victories in Edmonton twice or once at Edmonton and the other just against them but both against the Oilers this entire thing of the Oilers having an 02 and0 record against the Panthers who really knows where that’s going to go because even in the last series everybody was saying oh yeah Vancouver swept Edmonton in the regular season who knows how the Oilers are going to bounce back they’re not going to be the same team right same thing you could very well say could be present in this conversation what I also wanted to do was go over some of the extended numbers because if you talk about just the point production and the gold production I mean of course McDavid dry Sidle Bard all up here in League scoring the first Florida Panthers guy is Matthew kachuk who’s got 19 points in 17 games played Veri has 17 barov has 17 and if you scroll down to the [Applause] remaining goenda babowski 908 Stewart Skinner 897 I saw a lot of people meing around on social media saying hey guess what the Florida Panthers they went from facing off Andre vasileski in the first round to playing Jeremy swayman in the second round two crazy amazing goenda shashurin in the third round a bunch of these dudes are near the top of the NHL in safe percentage vasileski is not there but he is still vasileski they’re going from vasileski Swan and shashurin to playing off against steuart Skinner of the Oilers and to his credit Skinner has looked very good the past few games here he has not been as bad as we had expected him to be okay I got signed out at of elite prospects that is so annoying are you kidding me why did I get signed out come on 909 save percentage in game number four 950 save percentage in game five and a 971 save percentage in game six of course the Oilers only had 10 shots on goal so Stewart Skinner had to be good he has his moments honestly like I’m not saying that Skinner is a Jeremy Swan eager shashir and vasileski comparable player but he has been good lately which at this point you can say is all you really need if you’re the Edmonton Oilers we had discussed this in the video yesterday but the Oilers have started to get that ball rolling on the thought process that says hey maybe all you need to really win a championship is two guys that are at the top of the league one defenseman that is at the top of the league and then one goal scorer that is at the top of the league who knows if a topheavy team with McDavid dryad Heyman and Bard if they’re able to get it done because they themselves are just so amazing look I’m not going to go out there and discredit the rest of the Oilers but I’m not saying they made the Stanley Cup finals because Vander Kane Cory Perry and Ryan McLoud are all fantastic they made the Stanley Cup finals because their top guys have been showing up consistently and now they’re going to face off against the Florida Panthers team that does not have the same topend talent but is arguably deeper than the other ones they have faced Dallas especially I mean everybody was saying that Dallas was going to wipe the floor with whomever came out of the Vancouver and Edmonton series but the Stars completely collapsed themselves they could not beat Stuart Skinner for me personally if you had to ask me twist my arm and get an answer I’d say that I’m actually rooting for the Florida Panthers I want that story to come to an end I’d like to see Matthew kachuck get the Stanley Cup to his name of course Vladimir tereno big fan of I want to see him succeed as well but if I had to make a prediction I honestly don’t know last time we made a prediction video I said it would be Oilers over Dallas in seven but it ended up being Oilers over Dallas in six you know what if I had to make a prediction you twisted my arm I’m saying Florida is going to take it in seven but that’s just me this could be going any way possible a seven game series really could come out with both teams on top I’m not a profit or anything I’m just a dude sitting in my computer chair but I want you to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below how do you feel about this finals matchup Edmonton versus Florida who do you think is going to win and how many games is it going to take I’m saying Panthers and seven but if the Oilers end up winning I would not be surprised about that it just really depends on how the games are played right so let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about EDM versus FL 2024 I hope you enjoyed this British AR r99 and bye he

Panthers are going, win their first cup
I don't care if the Oilers are Canadian or not. McDrai are cocky, whiny, arrogant asshats. Hoping for Florida in 4.
Vancouver was as good as Florida. It was a very good lesson for the Oilers as to what to do to win. Even then it’s going to be a slog.
It's Shesterkin not Shesherkin!
Offense – EDM. Special Teams – EDM, Defense – A Toss Up, Physicality – FLO, and Goaltending – FLO! Prediction – Edmonton in 6 games? GO OILERS GO!!!!
My favorite team out of the east facing my second favorite team out of the west. Gonna be awesome
Panthers have suffocated 3 great PP teams. Edmonton won’t be any different. Panthers will shut down the Oilers PP and grind them down in 5on5 play.
Panthers in 5 or 6
flames fans worse nightmare, its either see tkachuk winning or rivals winning.
As a die hard Detroit Red Wings fan, im rooting for Edmonton. I would like to see Ken Holland(even though he destroyed our farm system, traded away multiple 1st and 2nd rounders and destroyed our cap)win a cup with Edmonton. I've always respected them as a franchise.
Panthers in 5. Just a statistic to look at, look at the hits.
There were significant changes and improvements from the Oiler’s that helped them get to the post season. Really can’t say that their pre-season stats are up to par on what they are especially with Knobby as coach. Knobby has had 8 months to get to know this team and knows how to handle them better than he did when he was subbed in for woody.
The defence of Edmonton is done by committee. They been playing must win games since November. They have all bought in and are all in. Oilers in 5.
Dilemma for Calgary Flames Fans
Pickard played both of the Florida games
Even though Ken Holland did not build the team, if the Oilers did not make it to the finals there would have been rumblings about new leadership taking over the helm. Now Edmonton is on the verge, yet Florida is playing very well.
