It’s a place holder until they come up with a proper name and logo. I agree it’s dumb; you’d think they would have something in mind, ready to vote on. But, oh well.
Doesn’t matter much to me though, I deleted my NHL app and haven’t paid attention to the playoffs at all. Just following this subreddit until we know more about a possible revival of our team.

Yes it’s generic but let’s be real there was hardly any time for them to draft, design, trademark, finalize, etc. a long-term brand. This honestly makes more sense rather than trying to rush through the process.
