NHL Utah First Round Mock Draft From Chris Peters And Steven Ellis

now we go to the Utah Hockey Club the club without a name uh but certainly not without a hockey operations department and you know the last few drafts as the Arizona Coyotes um they went you know there was obviously get Logan and that’s a key piece but last year they focused on size and also you know got two big Russians in in simachev and Boot and now you know you look there’s still plenty of needs in this organization there’s still you know there there’s there’s good young players you got Matias machell you got kolie you got you know uh you expect to have that long-term Clayton Keller relationship continue as well and so you’ve got some real key pieces offensively um you know just kind of looking at the looking at the way that these teams this team and and this organization and under Bill Armstrong has operated you know I think the the big athletic defenseman is still going to be a very attractive thing and that’s why I think they’re going to go with Sam Dickinson or what I you know if if I was them I think it makes a lot of sense for their where they’re at as well he’s a tremendous athlete I think there’s a lot of upside there are some concerns about hockey sense but as I’ve watched him especially in the Memorial Cup the last couple of games you just see a defenseman that’s just oozing with confidence a guy that is has has pois and has really refined his game and has made really good offensive reads he’s got good hands you know the skating ability is is there I think everything he checks all those boxes so you know and and when I’m making these picks and you know I say who should they perek as well you know two guys that that you expect would be you know those power play top power play guys guys that can move pucks and I think that that is something that will be considered by Utah um just because you especially as we see these Puck moving defensemen the dynamic that they can bring to a team and you know that there’s there’s a lot there
