Biiiiiiitch.
Every answer is worse than the last.
“I don’t believe that the Valley population has a real interest in ice hockey. Maybe never will. All the knocks that they didn’t draw people to the games because it was so far away are a bunch of baloney. They didn’t draw people when they were downtown Phoenix. If you think about it, in the 20-some-odd years that the Coyotes team was in the Valley — and I don’t know how many exactly — they never grew their base beyond 4,000 to 5,000 people. What does that really say? I say it has nothing to do with the location. It has to do with the product.”
Wtf is this lady on lmfao
The chip on her shoulder is the size of a boulder. It’s almost like Howler didn’t call her back after a night out or something.
Nobody gives a shit what Glendale’s failed leadership thinks
Funny, considering that she basically admitted it was more about land development and an economic opportunity more than even wanting the Coyotes in Glendale. You’re not going to tell me that a metroplex with about 5 million people give or take can’t support a hockey team. The main culprit of the Coyotes perpetual issues here was ownership, I don’t think most would debate that. But Glendale’s leadership was hardly a help.
Maybe, I don’t know, put the arena in Glendale anywhere else but a then-undeveloped plot of land that was basically cotton fields at the time? Or no Glendale at all?
What’s really baloney is the “4000 fans” comment. I seem to recall AWA generally being full when they were playing there. I also seem to remember every playoff game in Glendale being full. So this idiot can’t say there is no interest in hockey here. The only semi-decent argument she might have is “the product”. Bad ownership will result in that. Incompetence all around ranging from Moyes to Gretzky hiring his agent as GM when they were entering their dark years to this moron and her gang of idiots in Glendale constantly bungling lease agreements (it took them how many tries to get an agreement that wasn’t going to have Goldwater Institute ringing lawsuit alarm bells?) will result in that.
I suppose Westgate falling behind its construction timeline is the team’s fault too?
Get bent, Scruggs.
You never wanted the Coyotes in your town in the first place and you would’ve went with the Westgate complex without the team if you had the chance.
So she’s a clueless idiot who has no idea how ice hockey and arenas work.
