  4. 23:21 Dax is not the third safety, they’ve given that title to Jordan Battle (despite being far less athletic) and are trying to turn Dax into an outside corner. Publicly they’ll say it’s because they view Dax as a “Swiss army knife” who can play anywhere in the secondary, but privately it’s bc 1) they’ve struggled to find a role where he can be trusted to perform and 2) currently there’s a lack of CB depth behind Cam Taylor Britt. DJ Turner is the other CB in consideration but he really looked rough during the latter half of the season (especially dealing w/ speed and double moves).

    If Hill can’t beat out DJ Turner, Bengals might try him as Hilton’s backup. As of right now Tycen Anderson may even be ahead of Dax in the safety room.
