Six-time Pro Bowl DE Calais Campbell is signing with the #Dolphins, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Campbell will turn 38 in September, but he’s still playing at a high level as he enters his 17th NFL season.

  1. So our two sack leaders from last year are no longer on the team. Man Morris is going to have to work some serious magic.

  2. I never really expected him back once they went back to a 34. Calais isn’t trying to play on the inside any more given his age. And he’s already been under Weavers system. And the falcons haven’t created any more cap room, so he was out of the budget anyways.

  3. Has Bud Dupree signed anywhere else yet? Might be worth it to take another shot with him

  4. That hurts. I’m going to be honest I’m surprised how much the subreddit brushes off concerns about the pass rush. Like, cool, we got some descent rookies, but Terry Fontenot whiffed on every major pass rusher available at the deadline and free agency. Losing Calais Campbell and Bud Dupree are significant, and everyone is still praising the DL for some reason.

  5. Man, I was hoping we’d bring him back, but I’m higher on AK17 and Harrison than most. They have stupid potential and we started seeing it at the end of last year without Grady. Add Grady back into the rotation and Ruke and Bralen and maybe we have a decent front.
