back with Cheryl pound Cheryl we’re just two weeks and two days from free agent frenzy one of the biggest names available to the highest bidder Patrick Kane he had 47 points in just 50 games this year Pier LeBrun says Kane’s agent is going to talk to the Red Wings of course but if he makes it to July 1 where’s the best fit for the three-time Stanley Cup champion well there’s a lot of places that you could look for Patrick Kane to go and who wouldn’t want to have him I mean look at his pedigree at three-time Stanley Cup champion and the list goes on and on the veteran season that he can bring to any roster but I’m looking directly at his hometown team in the Buffalo Sabers you look at the high-end prospects that they have Gino and I think that this would be the perfect fit for someone like Patrick Kane and imagine him playing alongside the likes of Tage Thompson and Tuck I mean you know that he’s a gifted distributor and there was a lot of questions around his surgery over a year ago that hip resurfacing and I think he’s put that all to bed with his point production this year and for a team like the Buffalo Sabers that finished six in the Atlantic there are a lot of question marks around them underachieving and I do believe that they did and if they want to make a playoff push I think they have to surround them themselves with some veteran seasoning as I mentioned and that goes right to Patrick Kane you look at the way he can shoot the puck now 20 goals this season and of course you look at the body of work over the course of his career I was looking at shooting percentage and in 17 Seasons there was only three other years that he amassed over 13 and a half% and guess what of those three years he won the stam cup twice so he has a model of consistency you mentioned it 47 points 20 of them goals 20 seven helpers and I just think he’s got that possession the ability to be a glue piece to distribute to be a mastermind with that Puck and he fills two voids goals four right Buffalo not very good 23rd in the NHL last season and how about a dismal power play that was operating at 29th in the NHL so I think he can bolster those numbers and he can add to a playoff push down in Buffalo I’ll tell you what Kane .94 points per game this year ranked fourth among pending ufas the only three ahead of them that list right now Jake gensel Sam Reinhardt and Steven stamps

  3. if i was DET, i would let kane walk if it gets in the way of addressing other roster needs. kane also doesn't play defence or backcheck.

    the seider and raymond extensions have to be the top priority.

  7. It won't be Toronto. I could see a team like Utah but people know at his age you can't carry a team over the top He is a character 3rd liner now.
