Holloway details ‘adrenaline rush’ generated from Oilers’ crowd

well Dylan you were able to bring it back for game six you’ve got a lot of experience now coming out from underneath that tunnel with the building going crazy yeah like take me into your head when you’re walking down that tunnel you can hear the Mayhem and what you feel when you step out into that and take a quick look around kind of what goes through the the blood and the the heart and the Brain at that time yeah I mean uh you know you can hear it from the dressing room so guys are trying to stay calm but everybody’s getting kind of fired off and then I guess the moment we step on the ice just hear the hear the crowd hear the horns and they just starts going uh those like first two laps before the game that we take I I don’t even like know what’s going on I just buzz as hard as I can and I usually get to the bench uh breathe hard for a little bit but it’s just so awesome the adrenaline rush is crazy and it’s it’s super fun I feel like it’s almost risky cuz everybody is going full speed and like you don’t want any little accidents there with everybody’s adrenaline firing and there have been some close calls I’ve even seen yeah there definitely has been especially when it’s dark and like the the lights are kind of down and it’s just so loud um yeah definitely there could be some accidents guys are buzzing pretty quick so uh but yeah thankfully there hasn’t been any of this playoffs I want to ask you about your head coach and the confidence that he has shown in younger players like yourself Philip broberg I think back to last game and don’t take this as criticism but you turn a puck over on the wall ends up in your guy’s net there might have been a time where that’s that’s it for you he goes back to you you know um you know game maybe didn’t end exactly the way you would have wanted yet you’re still on this line you’re still being trusted with this opportunity what mistakes happen and it means to you when he keeps going back to you yeah it definitely just helps the confidence you know obviously I know that that puck can’t get turned over right there and it ended up in a goal so uh I I know that’s not a good play and that that was on me and I take full responsibility for that but to have the coach to like call back on my name and uh to keep putting me in a good position is uh it’s really good for the confidence and it just uh you know sometimes when you’re afraid to make a mistake out there that’s when you end up playing the worst so it kind of just allows you to play more free and uh when you’re playing more more free you play better last time you and I did a game day one-on-one you remember what that couple goals yeah yeah I do yeah sure do it every day then every game day I want to ask about this line with Leon D I mean he was critical of his own game said he’s not where he wants to be uh you know there good accountability from him but kind of what’s your sense of of where Leon is at and you know maybe what he might be capable of if and when he breaks it open and and you got a chance to be part of that on his line yeah I mean like I said before I think Leon’s been playing playing great playing fine um he’s obviously critical on himself just cuz he’s uh he expects a lot of himself and he’s he’s that good where uh you know like some of us if we get one point where happy uh but for him it’s not about points he just wants to be dominant every shift and you know it’s something he can do so I think uh I think I think he’s going to break out if he hasn’t already and uh it’ll be cool to witness and cool to be a part of it thanks for this Ste appreciate it yeah no worries
