On Monday night, the Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Florida took a 1-0 lead in the first on a goal from Carter Verhaeghe off a sharp pass from Evan Rodrigues.

Tied at 1 in the second, Dmitry Kulikov swept away the puck from an empty net — and Sam Reinhart scored on the ensuing rush.

The rest was up to the Florida defense which clamped down on the Edmonton offensive — with the help of some stellar goaltending from Sergei Bobrovsky.

  13. Not a more classless player than that guy im not even an oiler fan. They lost by 1 goal in game 7 and ppl acting like they got trounced. Enjoy your one and only cup ever your rink will be half empty again next year as always anyway when all the bandwagoners leave. while the true oiler fans will pack the house every night

  15. I'm a loyal Panther fan but I'm kind of surprised by the use of the F- word by many, especially Coach Maurice. Lots of little kids there. Come on guys. Clean it up and celebrate without the use of that word.

  21. Why is he still obsessed with Edmonton? He admires the passion the Canadian hockey fans have he experienced playing in Calgary. Its why he asked to get traded. " Too much pressure playing in a Canadian market….". Its true, hes not the first player to mention the intensity of Canadian fans at times is unfair for the players. However he understands hockey in Canada is a 365 day a year sport. If Florida lost to Edmonton, the fan base in Miami would have moved on.
