so if you’ve seen my video about my room tour you know I have Joseph asai Jersey on the wall I love Joseph Sai I think he’s an absolute monster obviously he’s dealt with injuries throughout the last you know couple years and it hasn’t been perfect in the end and I really do have high you know praise for him and I think he could be really good it just hasn’t really worked out in the end right he’s had a couple good games a lot of injuries and it’s kind of a mess with that being said his contract is coming up and this is one of the guys that I really didn’t think like okay yes his contract’s up he’s only his final year of his rookie contract but he’s a guy where I feel like we’re just going to end up resigning him but not like for a lot of money cuz I don’t feel like he’s going to ask for a lot of money he’s kind of in a position right now where he can’t ask for a crazy amount of money because again he doesn’t have the track record to show it he doesn’t have the track record to say Hey listen I want this huge contract so obviously if he has a good year this year you know he could do that but in theory I don’t think he’s you know going to have a year that would do that nonetheless though with his contract expiring he did speak about the matter he did speak about his contract expiring and here’s what he had to say perfect timing he said about his current health but nothing changes for me my worth ethic isn’t changing because it’s the contract year no way yes it does heighten things a little I’ll admit that but I’m not worried about that about it because my worth ethic has never change it’s been the same since my freshman year in high school and I will agree with that I think he is a very good worker I think he is a you know determined player and again that’s why I really do like him as a player I just don’t see how he goes anywhere else uh mainly because I feel like this is probably the best place for him and if we look at his stats over the last couple years you know 2022 he had three and a half stacks so let’s go back 2021 he didn’t really do much of anything he was a thir round pick in 2021 so he didn’t do anything in 2021 2022 he put up three and a half sacks played 16 games uh two Force fumbles one pass deflection 2023 he played 14 games had one pass deflection one sack and that was pretty much that and again like I said you know I think what we’ll end up doing is probably getting him back on a one or twoyear deal and it will probably be like league minimum which probably will have like nothing guaranteed and that’s pretty much that like I said this is one of the guys there’s a couple guys on the list of free agents or I guess contract Year guys that I’m really not scared of the idea of bringing them back when it comes to like I think we’re going to bring them back very easily without any problems at all so if we go to the LI hand side here obviously we’re not you know T Higgins probably not going to end up bringing him back unless we get a contract worked out Von Bell I think will bring him back pretty much easily I don’t think there’s going to be problems with that one at all um BJ Hill that one’s going to be I think a little tougher but I think we could work out a contract that would be tougher though like Cody Ford will bring him back we’re not going to bring back Trent Brown most likely we might in the end but we probably won’t um just cuz he’ll probably want to become a starter and by that time I think we’ll probably use marus Mims as a starter cam sample I feel like we’ll bring him back no problem Trenton Irwin definitely will bring him back without any problem we actually bought him back this off season without a problem Tanner Hudson 100% we brought him back this off without a problem you even though Joseph s is 25 years old I feel like there isn’t really much of a a theory that’s like oh this we might lose this guy no I don’t think we’re going to lose this guy the same thing with a lot of these other names on this list here um money Mack I think we do have to get under contract because he is a good kicker and he is a guy that a lot of teams would be interested in but I feel like what it really comes down to and again I’m not trying to take a shot at all at Joseph Sai I love Joseph Sai but there is a circumstance where it’s like hey if you’re a good enough player that you’re going to have eyes on you from the rest of the league League yeah it’s going to it’s harder to get you on the contract and harder to you know get things figured out but if you again are not considered the best player around the league you’re not considered a you know gem that a lot of teams are going to be interested in it’s easier to get you under contract and I’m not really scared of players like that potentially leaving now again could he leave absolutely but I just don’t think he would get offered something that would be in a better situation plus MoneyWise than what we offering him here so I think we’ll end up resigning him and again I’m happy he’s getting his health together as this is a Super Bowl year this year so you I’m happy he’s getting his health together and figuring things out but you know I’m not really scared at all a potentially losing him I think we’re we’ll be fine with him and I think he’ll end up you know probably again I’m not seeing us sign a multi-year contract though like that’s another thing like I think what we’ll probably end up doing with him is signing a one two year deal and doing that kind of on repeat I’m not expecting us to go out there and be like okay let’s get him on a you know seven-year cont no like he’s the type of guy where it’s like okay we have faith in him but we’re probably going to end up getting him in a one twoyear deal and kind of reworking that contract every year but tell me down below your thoughts opinions guys I’ll see you guys in the next one peace
